All Dyson stuff is overpriced. I've never bought anything from them and this silly mask combo isn't going to change that.

Nothing wrong with mask wearing but I don't think this offers the same kind of protection. If it's anything like other Dyson products, it doesn't do shit.

Anything by Dyson, especially their vacuum cleaners.

I used to clean houses for a living and have used just about every kind of vacuum that's out there and next to Eureka uprights (unbelievably absurd: the motor exhaust vent is in the front of the unit and it actually blows debris away from the vacuum head. So it's great if you want to chase dirt around rather than suck it up) Dyson is the absolute worst. Clumsy, obstinate and ineffective. Parts fall off all the time. The extension hose expands on a rigid pole which makes detail cleaning with the attachments difficult. The floorpeice is too wide so if you're vacuuming a hotel lobby it's fine but otherwise it's impossible to get into smaller spaces. And like many uprights, the rotating bar (which on many models you have no option of turning off) is too fast to compete with the suction so on bare floors, it just shoots everything out behind the machine. And for something that sucks so much, they certainly don't suck very well.

The rechargeable models are just as bad with the added bonus of having no battery power display and what appears to be a shut off mechanism that activates whenever the battery starts to get low so the fucking thing just abruptly stops. It's great if you want to vacuum half a room.

The only thing that would make Dyson vacuums worthwhile would be if they included a broom in the box. A solid gold, diamond studded broom because the price on these things is ridiculous.

If you want a decent vacuum at a reasonable price, get a Bissell. I've had mine for 19 years and it still works well. The handle broke off and the shield for the floorpiece is cracked but that's what happens with plastic after so many years. The motor is fine. The suction is still strong. And in 19 years of heavy use the belt has never snapped, not once.

I bought a Dyson hairdryer early this summer after having used one at a hotel I stayed at in France. It was very expensive, to be sure, but it is the best hairdryer I've ever used. Moreover, it is compact, beautiful to look at, and the sound it makes while in operation is pleasing. I like having well-designed appliances, and this particular one brings me pleasure every time I use it or even glance at it. Amortized over a year the extra expense is of no consequence.

I'm trying to think back on some of the item's I purchased before I had money to spend. There was a cheap blender where one of the blades broke off and we drank some of the metal bits with our frozen drink.

And cheap irons that didn't steam properly and just spit. I spit sometimes as well

And coffee pots making tepid coffee. Blech! Gimme my damn money back!

The only thing of Dyson's that I have found is actually any good is his hand dryers.
The vacuum cleaners are rubbish and the wheelbarrow was awfully unstable
