She expressed herself through her clothing

@m1thousand Most of the revenue from the Duchy of Cornwall goes to the state, so although the Prince of Wales is officially responsible for the administration of the estate, it does not follow that Prince William is worth 1.8 billion.
When Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister she was worried that when she and the Queen had to attend a big formal event they might turn up accidentally wearing similar frocks. So she sent the Queen two lists of colours and patterns with a memo suggesting that if the event was to take place on an even-numbered date Thatcher would base her outfit on list A and the Queen would base hers on list B, and if it was on an odd-numbered date then vice versa, so they would never clash.
Christ. Now he has to break in another PM.
Only a month or so into the job.
FT Weekend carried an article on the Queen's wardrobe that observed that few of the pictures of her over the decades that were published and broadcast after her death showed her during the broad shoulder era of the eighties (I guess it was the eighties), because this was the least successful her looks. The first picture certainly confirms this judgment.
I've read that Charles III may have looked like an idiot, but he wasn't and was actually quite a good ruler, whereas his son, Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies--who closely resembles him--really was. You probably know--but others reading this might not--that Charles's mother, Elizabeth Farnese, brought her family's great collection of antiquities to the Bourbons, which is why they are now in Naples. The collection was first assembled by Pope Paul III Farnese, from whom Elizabeth was descended.^ What does that "III" mean, third best player ever after Messi and Pelé? (Maradona is God, not a player)
Oh, wait, sorry, that's just Charles III
