I got up early to watch the entire funeral. Very moving and well organized and polished. A very fitting send off for the late Queen.

I watched the whole show too, right till the lone piper disappeared. I know that in terms of what's going on in the world nothing has really changed, but even so it truly feels like the end of an era.

You sent me a private message "Honey lets not hijack this topic" ( I mean seriously, that from you? ) and asked me not to personally attack you, I never personally attacked you anymore than you do to others I was trying to point out people from all colours have faults. The Queen had an expression "when you feed the hungry you leave the camera at home" so often was not credited for the work she did to make amends for mistakes in the past, when the world was a different place.

Someone please educate me, in the near-100 years that QE lived did she ever once address the British legacy of racism and genocide? We're not talking about events that happened 4,000 years ago. The British occupation of African countries lasted well into the 1900s, well into her lifetime. She had ample time to correct the sins of the past. Was it ever a priority? If the answer is "no" then you understand why certain countries aren't mourning right now.

Think again. No idea what they said about noise, but you can rest assured that the gathered heads of state constituted a closed airspace for security reasons. No risk whatsoever of air attack would be tolerated. There surely were fighters scrambled on rotation during the funeral. Just imagine the potential terrorism points for striking the gathered heads of nations.

I think that during the war as a teenager ,Princess and Heir Apparent choosing not to leave London and her privileged/safe life but instead remain and become a mechanic for war vehicles and an ambulance driver shows what an incredible person ( and probably a better person than a lot of us) she really was from the get go. The same values she instilled in her children and grandchildren I think King Charles will do a good job but fear he may be worn out and find it difficult, but William and Catherine, when it is their time, I think will do an amazing job because of the values they were brought up with

It is rare to be able to watch such rare historic rites.

My sympathies to all subjects today of the British Crown as they remember the late Queen. The services were very fitting tributes to her reign.
