The Queen

We should always be grateful for the Queen and her father. Their strength of character was the "thin red line" that saved us in WWII. Her father paid the ultimate price of his health, and she carried on his legacy with great dignity.

Today is the 88th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.

I think that's by David Bailey Russ.

The Queen will become the longest reigning British monarch if she's still alive on 10 September 2015.

The Independent? Have you taken leave of your senses? [-X I'll have you know that I'm strictly a Daily Telegraph man!

I found out today something about "Bonnie Prince Charlie" who claimed the throne.

I've seen that limp movie with the limply effete David Niven as the exiled son of the ousted James II-- the eldest male direct descendent of James I. But todays Guardian told me he's buried in the Vatican!! as "Charles III King of England, Scotland and Ireland".

I knew he was buried in St Peter's Basilica, as were other members of his family. On a point of pedantry, Bonnie Prince Charlie was the grandson of King James II.

Happy Birthday Your Majesty She still well. Long Live the Queen. .

:bday: Her Majesty has been blessed with long life and Her people are also blessed thereby. A great lady indeed.

It's Happy Birthday Your Majesty. The Queen has now reigned for longer than Queen Victoria. It is a remarkable thing.
