The exact same thing happens within racial minorities. At least in a few books I read about it, it was termed "internal colonization", although I've heard it more commonly referred to outside of academia as internalized racism. In crudest possible form, you could say "there's always been people who wanted to be the house slaves." It's not dissimilar imo.

Jesus never sounded like Rev Wright or Rev Al. Neither one preaches salvation or the Gospel. They preach hate.

You are correct that the Eye of the Needle was a low gate into Jerusalem which was too low to allow for tall animals like camels to get through. Camels are incredibly stubborn animals. To get one through the gate you had to coax them into bending their legs and sorta "crouching" through the entrance, and it was considered very difficult to do. And that was the analogy Jesus used for how difficult it was for a rich person to accept his message or get into Heaven.

What does that tell you? I'm not sure how you addressed the notion that Republican dismissive attitudes towards disadvantaged people, poor people or minorities in American history underlines their inability to see Rev. Wright's message as something other than "hate."
