Well, since that's out of the way, I say it will be HORRIBLE, just because MTV is making it.

Re: MTV revisits "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

Going to see "Rocky Horror" back in high school really helped me to come out of my shell. I was very shy/quiet until I started meeting kids from other high schools going to see it too. Good times! The first time I smoked a joint was at the show. (!)

Re: MTV revisits "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

It's wayyyy too much of a cult icon to be remade, even if by some remote chance it were good, it'd still only piss off the fans of the original one. The appeal of the original one is that it is in fact not very well made, it is a cheap low-budget sci-fi parody rock musical.

RHPS is one of my favourite films and I think they should nip this thing in the bud. The remake won't change anything about the original film, I know that well, it's just that there is no real need to remake the film, it stands fantastic as is and it'd just be a waste of money and possibly a blemish on some up and coming actor's career, lol.

UPDATE: Front runner into step in Tim Curry's high heels.

British funnyman Russell Brand is expected to take the lead role in the remake of cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, according to reports.

The original 1975 movie, which starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf, is set to be remade, with studio bosses were keen to replicate the original's success.

And British comedian Brand, who kicked off his film career in Forgetting Sarah Marshall earlier this year, is favourite to take on Curry's coveted role of transvestite scientist Frank N Furter, according to the London Paper.

I lurves me some Rocky Horror Picture Show...

...but I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Acoustic guitar just really isn't suited to this kind of music. You'd think that Richard O'Brien of all people would know better.

God help me, I will never tire of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Re: I lurves me some Rocky Horror Picture Show...

I really like that version, considering it is done out of context from the movie.

Pelvic thrust!

Re: I lurves me some Rocky Horror Picture Show...

Just as a matter of interest, there was a 30 minute interview with Australian director Jim Sharman on Australia's ABC TV network tonight. When you have the combined genius of O'Brien and Sharman you have Entertainment with a capital "E"!

Re: I lurves me some Rocky Horror Picture Show...

One of my best friends back in the day dressed as Frank-N-Furter in the "I Can Make You A Man" song. He'd get up on stage and perform it. I must have gone to see that movie over 150 times with him.

'Rocky Horror' Easter eggs. No! Really!

I'm not talking about those secret codes in DVDs which take you to hidden surprises.

No. I'm talking real Easter eggs.

Apparently, during filming of Rocky Horror Picture Show, the film crew held an Easter Egg hunt for the cast and they hid Easter eggs all over the set. Not all of them were found, though, and they can be seen in the movie.

For instance, there is one under Frank's throne. Another can be seen in the light fixture in the main room. Yet another can be seen in the elevator when they are on their way to the lab.

And there are others.

Happy hunting. ;)
