The Sad Saga of Former Rep Aaron Schock

The truth is, were he fat and ugly he'd get no attention at all at this point...and have had little attention when he was in Congress. Needless to say, if he started out as good-looking as he was on the Men's Health cover, and were now fat and ugly, you'd all be gloating.

That perhaps he hasn't paid sufficiently for his sins, not destitute, is still good-looking, hanging out with similarly good-looking men, and presumably happy and having a lot of hot sex, helps drive the obsession.

Wilde may have modeled the heartless Dorian Grey on Bosie, but he couldn't stay away, he was like a moth to a flame.

Actually it is watching him stripped naked and his hypocrisy exposed and just waiting for the inevitable crash of a malignant narcissist.

The mill of the Gods may grind slowly but it grinds exceedingly fine.

Would that were so! That it isn't is the reason hell was invented.
Great phrase, though.

Feds formally drop charges against former Rep. Aaron Schock [The Hill]
Federal prosecutors this week officially dropped charges against former Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) alleging misuse of public and campaign funds in a deal first announced in March, according to the Chicago Tribune.

On Wednesday, Schock completed a deferred prosecution agreement under which he has completed a probationary period and paid back $68,000 in campaign funds in exchange for all charges being dropped.

Wow.

So Aaron is preparing a 'Statement'.

He owes everyone a lot more. He needs to be working hard for lgbtq rights in order to proves that he deserves forgiveness and support.

I suspect that like most narcissistic sociopaths, his whole intention in crafting a statement is to emerge blameless....just like in this conversation...he immediately apparently made himself the victim by shifting the narrative to how painful being publicly outed was for him.

On one hand, I give him credit for staying in the bar and inviting the performer over to talk one-on-one.

On the other hand, you have it right. Pretty much until this point, there's been no acknowledgement of "I screwed up", much less a "I'm sorry".

As bad as he is, you have to hand it to him for his chutzpah... just attempting to seamlessly fit in on the gay scene when for years he's never lifted a finger of support and has backed bills and policies that hurt the LGBTQ community. Yet we are supposed to let it slide because he's got a fine body and boo-tay. Well, the only way he even begins to make up for it is for a radical transformation to fierce defender and supporter of our rights and total acknowledgement has was cowardly and wrongheaded... yeah it may not have been easy for him to come out to his family, friends, coworkers, community but lots of people with far less notoriety have done it and haven't and wouldn't even think of in the process throwing the community under the bus... we don't hate him because we're liberal as he weakly, lamely tries to spout it but because he's a hypocritical coward, thinking only of himself.

You've pretty much described the Ken Mehlman story. He'll be in Yom Kippur mode for the rest of his existence for throwing his own kind under the bus during the Bush II years.

Perhaps Aaron should have a long lunch with Ken sometime.

I'll watch later, thanks. The hair at the beginning scared me.

Well, here's the picture in character:

Not gay Aaron Schock at the beach with gay Eliad Cohen. Judging from the second picture, it looks like Ipanema in Rio. Surely it's just a coincidence Schock is in Rio for Carnaval.

Aaron seems to be getting a little thick around the middle?
