Yeah, Latimer's correct. I see it all the time. Guys start taking anabolics and they put on some mass and then their buddy at the gym tells them they should try HGH. The problem with taking GH as an adult is that it does put on muscle mass but it also seems to enlarge the liver and change the way the body stores fat. The giveaway is that don't have fat over their abdominal muscles, so they have a 6 pack but there's a weird distention around their diaphragm and liver that makes them look thick under their rib cage. If they continue taking it, they get this weird almost pregnant look.

Eliad Cohen is 31 years old. Aaron Schock is 38 years old. A 38 year old taking HGH is not going to age well.

It is a really bad look for him. His pecs look so sad and underdeveloped relative to his abdomen.

But given the way he has apparently approached so many other things in his life based on what we have read, it makes sense that he would think that steroids are the best route. And that they make him look hot.

But hopefully, now that he doesn't have to hide in the closet, he is getting railed regularly and maybe will even find a bf who might love him and help him come to terms with himself as an out homo moving toward middle age.

He hasn't learned anything. He's got a lot of narcissistic patterns that make him focus on self-preservation and finding others to blame.

How he managed to escape punishment for misappropriation of funds is still a mystery.

Something tells me that he's got a trip to rehab in his future, too. He's showing up in too many circuit party locations.

I agree that the link was good to keep. It's interesting to hear the feedback that is coming from the gay community that has been trying to force him out for a year now.

The feedback Schock is getting is on the mark... they're calling him out for a well-written, multi-page, long-overdue admission that he is gay that also manages to never say, "I'm sorry" or "I apologize". He hasn't reached a level of self-awareness yet. Instead of spending money to travel to all those circuit parties, he needs to invest in a therapist who will call him out on his bullshit.

Ok. Well, if memory serves me correctly, I recall him mentioning in a Twitter exchange that he was going to come out...at some point. I see that finally happened. I am sure that he knows he has his work cut out for him.

The phrasing is easy to my mind "For any and all victims or people that suffered from the enforcement of laws I voted to uphold I am sorry for that was done to you and shall endeavour to reverse it as an activist or political candidate" THERE! EASY!

But no! Just casually says he and the GLBTIQ rights movement have "had some differences". PATHETIC!

A LOT of changes in this 10 year thread, from the "oh, he's so hot" comments to the "He's been hateful to 'us'" comments. Which is ironic, since, as Snoopy said, "We have met the enemy and they are...US!"

So, he's one of "us" and until he acknowledged it to himself, he voted against us. Big Deal. So did George Wallace. And look how HE turned out 15 years later. (In case you don't know your history - and you probably don't) - he went to the Black churches in the '70s, when he was running again for governor. He asked for OUR forgiveness, said he was wrong, and that, if we elected him again, he would make sure that laws like he had helped pass before NEVER passed again.

"We" forgave Wallace, and voted him back in. He kept his word. SOME people change. SOME people grow. SOME stay the same their entire lives. You watch and you learn. If you're stuck in the past (of who he was), you're stuck, too. And you will never truly become an adult and learn forgiveness. And holding a grudge will eat you up, but he'll be out playing tennis with other gay men, who forgave him. Who'll suffer more. Him? Or YOU?

He just woke up to himself, but YOU want him to apologize immediately. Wallace didn't. It took him YEARS to reflect, recognize and REPENT for what he'd done. But you want it now. On YOUR terms? You'll suffer MUCH more than he does, I promise you. I'd suggest you learn from the Black experience on this and stop feeling like you're entitled to an apology this very MINUTE!

Unless, Kara, he's doing it with supplements (which work. Just for the heck of it, I started taking HGH supplements around 2008). Not for growth; for endurance. I got growth, though, so I told my chubby, 54 year old ex-boyfriend about them. He decided to try them out. I knew he'd be MUCH more diligent about taking them EVERY day.
He's a very "A" type of guy. I'm not. For years and years he took them And marveled at how much fat he lost. And one night, a year or two later, he went to dinner with his friend, Ahava, who never, EVER commented on people's bodies. And he said she looked at him and said, "You have Muscles!"

The supplements work. But you can just as easily buy the component parts, since packaged HGH now cost twice as much as it did in 2008. I still buy it in individual supplements: Arginine, Ornithine, Tyrosine, Lysine. Glycine, Glutamine and GABA. Just remember that one must take the ratio of Arginine to Ornithine in 2-to-1 (Twice as much Arginine as Ornithine). No distended lower stomach. It shouldn't since it's not a steroid anyway, but I don't know about taking shots. The shots can cause cancer. Ugh. Cancer just to get "the Body Beautiful." What an awful tradeoff. Just use the supplements.

Stallone got arrested in Australia back in 2007 for bringing them into the country. The newspapers claimed they were steroids, and he (correctly) straightened them out. They're not. As you know, it's a natural component in the body - except the body produces less of it by 30 than by 20 and waayyy less by 40. It produces the most of it when we're young. Like up to 30 or so...

What you've described is exactly what Ken Mehlman said when he came out. To his credit, after Mehlman came out as gay in 2010, he also put sweat into undoing the things that the Bush Administration had been complicit in. He raised money to overturn California Proposition 8. He recruited Republicans to sign an amicus brief for the SCOTUS case to overturn anti-same-sex marriage laws in the US. And he apologized for his past every step of the way.

Here's some quotes from Mehlman's apology:

“I can't change the fact that I wasn’t in this place personally when I was in politics, and I genuinely regret that. It was very hard, personally,” he said

“At a personal level, I wish I had spoken out against the effort,” Mehlman said. “As I’ve been involved in the fight for marriage equality, one of the things I’ve learned is how many people were harmed by the campaigns in which I was involved. I apologize to them and tell them I am sorry. While there have been recent victories, this could still be a long struggle in which there will be setbacks, and I’ll do my part to be helpful.”

If not for Schock's leaked pictures over the past year, it's doubtful we would have gotten an admission of any sort from him.

Is suspect that Schock would happily have kept leading a double life in order to avoid hurting his political comeback chances or career if the hands down the pants pic hadn't gone viral.

I also don't believe that he has spent the past months coming out to family. That ship sailed when the pics surfaced. What I do suspect is that he first tried to play all the angles with his family..."I was fooling", "I was drunk and this guy grabbed me while his friend took a picture", "I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing"....."I might be a little Bi-sexual"......

I suspect that the real issue wasn't coming out to them. It was trying to excuse the lies he has been telling them for years now.
