The Sad Saga of Former Rep Aaron Schock

The youngest U.S. Congressman, Aaron Schock, was interviewed by Stephen Colbert this week and one of his questions was "do you have six-pack abs?" The 27 year old congressman from central Illinois first stated that he refused to acknowledge that fact, because if or when he loses his six-pack abs, the admittance of having them would be used against him. Toward the end of the interview, when asked again if he had six-pack abs, he said "Yes, I do."

What a cutie-pie he is. Sort of makes me want to move to Peoria so that I can be one of his constituents!

Thanks for posting the clip. I saw it a couple days ago and it was really funny! I like how Schock tried to difficult and ignore Colbert's style, but in the end it didn't work. I think he's attractive, but ugly on the inside. Again, you can't judge a book by it's cover. In this case it's the cover that's pretty...

Hotness doesn't automatically mean that I want that person in office, any more than somebody who is NOT at all hot.

Consider that Tom DeLay is rather good looking, and in my lifetime I've seen no more than a few people in Congress who have been more venal, crooked, elitist and partisan than him...

(thankfully he's no longer in Congress, but he often shows up on MSNBC's Hardball...)

As usual hotness/cuteness completely overrides integrity, intelligence and common courtesy all of which (from what I've heard) this Schock shithead definitely lacks.

But as long as he has a nice body and a fair face he can be Jack the Ripper for all some of you care.

He thinks gays are pretty much the scum of the earth and will stand in the way of any legislature that will move the gay community forward. But that's okay, he has a nice set of six-pack abs and let's not totally forget that he's "hawt".

Noted CBS Journalist Itay Hod Pretty Much Just Outed Homophobic GOP Rep. Aaron Schock [MERGED]

There's a lot of talk lately about coming out, why it's a big deal and why straight people seem to be of the believe "meh" when someone comes out.

The other side of the coin of course is there seems to be quiet a lot of attacks on people who come out at an older age for not having done it sooner.

Rock and hard place comes to mind I guess.

I saw the original posts from Itay Hod last night on Facebook and it appears QUEERTY has picked up the story about Itay Hod suggesting that outing closeted people who actively discriminate against the GLBT community.

What do you think? Should people be outted before they're ready, and if they are outted and admit it should they be given a wash of their past actions?

In a long Facebook post, gay CBS anchor Itay Hod has essentially outed Republican Congressman Aaron Schock on the grounds of hypocrisy. While Hod frames the post as a hypothetical exploration of when outing is appropriate, he provides lots of details and concludes with an ostentatiously “unrelated” link to the 7 gayest Instagram Photos of Aaron Schock from 2013.

People who sit quietly in the closet should generally be allowed to stay quietly in the closet.

I have mixed feelings on this subject...

I think I hate these people more than anyone other "group" on the planet...the damage they cause because they have a problem with who they are is immeasurable. On an emotional level I would LOVE to see them outed...

BUT...(damnit)...

I respect their privacy a little more than I hate them and even though I have no respect for them as individuals I think respecting their privacy is important...a matter of principle for me.

Gay politicans who vote against marriage equality should be exposed for who they are. If someone is willing to throw his own people under the bus, how quickly do you think he'd throw everybody else?
