We have tried and failed dismally. Despite the (many failed) threads we posted there, I'm guessing I could count on the fingers of one hand how many people there are actually aware that Canada recently had its own federal election.

If it's not about American politics, it doesn't survive long there, so why bother?

If you are talking about a place where just about everything goes in and there is no real filter, then that would be HT. if you talking about a place that has crappy threads or unless arguments...well i think every forum has a little bit of that.

......within minutes most would be getting acquainted, making out and/or having sex.

Same room, with one hundred guys from CP&E....

.......within minutes they'd be shouting, fist fighting and/or killing each other.

I've found that true about politics on ANY messageboard, though. Too many folks mistake loudness, rudeness and frequency for truth and profundity.

personally, i don't have a problem with any of the forums ....i don't visit all of them as much as HT, but they're all ok....

i see lots of HT folks in CE&P and they all seem to function pretty well in both....so what's the [problem?

i probably visit the celebrity gossip forum the least....but that's because i don't pay much attention to pop culture.......but i'd sure liike to see a pic of zack effron naked...

Hmmm my opinion would be the amateur thread ... Not because of the pictures but there seems to be a few people in there who are just fishing for compliments and post over and over... exactly how many times do we have to see the same tired poses by the same tired people.

Agreed.

They're up for hours on that thread, searching high and low for those required "links", they type out long-winded diatribes that no one is going to read. Some never sign out.

It's always been an opinion of mine that those guys never get any.......
