...most definitely belongs to Gary Allan. That sexy, sultry, raspy sound. Shit! He's amazing. If it was ever possible to make love to a voice, his would be the one I'd choose.

Check out some of his vids...

"Smoke Rings In The Dark"

"Songs About Rain"

"Best I Ever Had"

"Forever and A Day"

"Nothing On But The Radio"

I really do love his singing!!

Not many of my friends like country, but I got a bunch of them hooked on his version of "Best I Ever Had."

Very good choice, and I'm excited that someone else is a country fan!!

wow...just had a quick listen to gary allen's music...his voice sounded almost like David Gray..u know the guy that sang, " sail away".

David Gray's voice is also sexy and manly especially when he sings, "this year's love".

Michael Buble voice is the type of guy u want to close ur eyes and listen to lying in bed.

Oh yeah, Michael Buble has this singing voice where it almost sounds like he's not singing, he's just talking and it comes out as a melody... y'know what I mean? LoL

Gary Allan has a totally different sounding voice. Rough, raspy, so manly... I love it. He's not bad on the eyes, either! LoL

Oh, yeah, I've always been a country boy. Guess that's what happens when you grow up in Indiana.

kenny, that liking for country music also happens to people that grow up (if we ever grow up) in California.

the only possible difference is our exposure levels creates a more eclectic taste in music overall, enabling left coasters to appreciate a broad spectrum of music genre from opera (not me) to jazz, pop, hard rock even alternative and of course country. at least (even in my dottering old age) i do.:-)

Since we're on the subject of singing and voices, I just made a wav file of me singing (like a fucking fool). If only I could figure out how to upload it 'n post it here...

Hmm, well I made a .wav file of me randomly singing, but I can't figure out how to just embed the play bar in the post. So I'll have to post a link to the file. Click it and it should play.

I dunno why I'm even doing this, LoL

Or this one...

Me Singing

Why am I such a dumb fuck? LoL

Check Rufus Wainwright out. He's not butch, but has one of the most beautiful male voices in music today, he is original, and not in the mainstream. He sung The Maker Makes in the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack and Bewitched in The History Boys. And he is openly gay.

Ok, so you wanna go classical? How 'bout Juan Diego Flórez?

Hahaha I saw this and thought... "Nah, Devin Townsend easily!", as anyone who's heard the track Still my Bleeding Heart from Steve Vai's Sex and Religion album. 'Specially since he was 19 when he recorded it.

Oh, yeah. I've heard his singing before. He has an awesome voice.

Michael Buble has a definitely sexy, soothing voice. It's so narrative and emotional that sometimes you forget he's singing.

I think John Mayer's voice is sexy as well. It's raspy, deep, and sexy. Granted he didn't make "Your Body is a Wonderland" sound as sexy as it could have been but as he made more records and his voice developed into what it is now, it just sounds so masculine and sexy. Especially in his recent cover of Jimi Hendrix. ahhh.

Sometimes in bed I'll be listening to TEDDY THOMPSON's 'Separate Ways ' CD, and I feel I want to reach over and put my arm around him. Beautiful, country/pop voice. Clever, intelligent, sexy, moody. Don't start me!
He and Rufus Wainwright are friends. Together, their voices are sublime.

I am also going to say Michal Buble.

Also, Chris Isaak

After seeing Rufus Wainwright in concert I was hooked, I love his voice, and when he sits down at the piano and sings those original songs, I'm all his.
He plays a small role in the movie "Heights" and although he does not sing, just listining to him speak is sexy.

Oooh, how could I forget John Mayer, yeah I agree...
