It was just renewed by FOX for at least three more seasons. I personally hope they do it for as long as the actors are capable of making the voices. I think our society needs The Simpsons.

I hope they do more movies, too.

I love The Simpsons too much to ever wish ill on it but it's a show that has gone through it's golden age circa season 8. It was dumbed down by among other things Family Guy influence and a change in writers but gladly it's begun to recover. I doubt it'll ever be back to it's heights but it's hard to criticize a sitcom that lasted this long and still remains as fresh as The Simpsons.

I agree. After the 8th season it lost it's magic. I don't think I've watched a new episode in the past six years.

It not as good as it used to be but I still enjoy watching it. Being 18 I do not know a world without the simpsons I think I would crumble without hehe.

1-3= Finding its feet
4-8=One of the best shows ever
9-12=getting bad
13-16=Awful
17-19=Okay
20-21=Pretty darn good

It is the most brilliantly written show for TV. Ever.

And yes, I am one of those people that could probably turn anything into a Simpsons reference.

I'm not sure if I should feel cool or sad about that...

Absolutely wonderful! What a great way to start the morning. I have loved the Simpsons ever since they started on the Tracey Ullman Show. It is the only show I have to watch every day.

Any show that's been on this long (and so very few have) that still makes me laugh is worthy of my time. Sure it's been better, but it's still way better than most of its rivals.
