The Sims 3???

I didn't know there was such a thing.

But apparently, the website says expect more news today. I don't think that meant two in the morning. ;) I would expect some type of EA/Maxis news release sometime around noon.

Spore is Maxis' next big project, and that won't be released until September. So I doubt Sims3 will be ready before than, if this year at all.

lol yeah. I'm think probably early-mid 2009

There was a release date floating around somewhere, I think it was for April of 2009. I'll have to figure out where I saw that.

I imagine there will be a need for a lot of computer upgrading or just purchasing of new computers for this game. At least of what I know so far.

I don't really think quite as large an upgrade as we might be thinking. I think it's more or less the type of console update that a big series like, say, Call of Duty gets from one incarnation to the next. New features, better graphics, but nothing your current computer, provided it can handle Sims 2 no problems, won't be able to handle relatively well.

The only thing that concerns me is that, supposedly, the neighborhood will be completely seamless. Which seems to mean that every sim will be active at the same time as well as every lot. I don't how it is all set to work of course, and considering it is March of 2008 and the game doesn't come out until 2009, I imagine we don't even have the bare bones details here. So I guess its just a wait and see approach.

One thing I am concerned about though is whether or not they plan to leave us without things that are extremely popular like pets and weather.

If anything I see pets and weather being more fully implemented and utilized this time around. I can totally foresee lost dog signs posted around the neighborhood or things like work and school being canceled due to freak snow storms. I'm excited for the possibilities

I can't help but wonder if, instead of working on that from the get go, they will instead withold weather and pets and make expansions out of them again just for a little more money. And of course, with them being expansions we will have to fix the bugs they miss because they don't beta test enough.

Just thinking.

My system is so crappy and small that I can't even play the original Sims 'Deluxe' on it let alone The Sims 2 or 3.

apparently when your sim is at work you have new interactions such as "suck up to boss" nd others, so hope theyre good and im loving the new neighbourhood system :D
