So the cupboard is bare til tomorrow's Asda/Walmart delivery and I've decided to treat myself to a lovely Indian takeaway, problem is i usually just stick to the three things i know and trust, Lamb Bhuna, Chicken Rogan Josh and Chicken Jalfreze with the usual pilau rice, chapatis and Nan breads.

I'm looking for suggestions for dishes not too hot but which are rich and the tomatoes and onions haven't been blitzes into a pulp, something succulent really, can you help ?

Butter Chicken is a favourite of ours and it is beautifully rich.

Ithink it transports and reheats well although the sauce can break if not made properly.

And I love anything made in Tandoori (Although it is better to eat in the restaurant.)

Sag Paneer is also delicious if made right...but again...it is always best fresh in a restaurant/

How about a rich Vindaloo? Either meat or veg?

And now I am so fucking hungry for Indian dishes....we never do takeout because it is a half hour from the restaurant and they don't deliver and COVID.....

It is the first restaurant on our list for when we can eat in again!

I know a hot Indian guy who lets me take nude pics of him on skype... he's a dish!

Seattle had the most amazing food carts in downtown, but the virus event killed that too.

ewwww I hate curry, one guy at one of my jobs would bring curry to work for breakfast and his breath smelled god awful. Couldn't stand being next to him

I had to stop eating Indian food when I had to go to a low sodium diet. Years later I am now eating some sodium. I would like to try Indian food again but don't know of any Indian restaurants near me. I do know of some Indian grocery stores near by though.

I think there’s one in Kamms Corner. I don’t think that too far from you

As long as we're placing our orders, make mine chicken biryani (medium heat), alu paratha naan, vegetable samosas, lentil soup and lots of chai tea, slightly sweetened. Thanks.

Can't beat some chicken bhuna on a bed of fluffy, tender pilau rice with side dishes of onion bhaji, mango chutney, minted yoghurt sauce and lime pickle. And an IPA, of course.

Thanks Alistair. Although Kamm's Corners aren't in my usual stomping grounds, it is not too far go. Right now the only restaurant food I am eating is take out from fast food restaurants, but I will keep this in mind.

I don't often eat Indian food. It's a shame. I live near the tiny town of Millbourne, Pennsylvania, which has the highest percentage of Asian Indian-Americans of any USA community.

I like curry and related foods, but they do give you a somewhat unpleasant smelling sweat a day or two later.

Sorry Sir. All we have is Lutefisk.

love Indian food--we have one of the best Indian restaurants outside of NYC here. The chef is from Sri Lanka. I do wonder how much butter or oil is in it and wonder how fattening it is---cant be worse than some Mexican or Chinese I love.:D

I suddenly wonder when tomatoes became a part of Indian cuisine? Considering they are one of the many things the Spanish imported from South America, together with things like the peppers that are now so identified with Thai cuisine... Anyone any idea?

the Portuguese introduced tomatoes and chilies to India in the 16th century
