The Tide Began to Rise

The Tide Began to Rise
Chapter 35

[Tyler’s POV]

“Hi” Brent said

“Hey” I responded

“Can we talk?”

“Yeah”

“Okay, first off, I want to say that I’m sorry.”

“I’m going to stop you. I love you Brent, with all my heart. But you hurt me. It would be different if Collin kissed you, but you kissed him. It wasn’t just a friendly kiss. There was something to it. Because of that, we are done.”

“Please Tyler.”

“No, I’m sorry. I see the way you look at him, the change in you when you talk to him. I want you to be happy.”

“You make me happy.”

“Brent you’re making this harder.’

“Good, I’m not letting it end this way.”

“Too late, if you need me to spell it out to you, I will. Brent, I’m breaking up with you.”

“Please.” Brent said through sobs and tears.

Brie came out to the car. We got in and drove off. Tomorrow will be the start to me new life.

[Brent’s POV]

I watched the car, with the love of my life, drive away. He left me. In the back of my mind I knew he was going to. I was hopeful that he would forgive me, just like all the other times that I had hurt him. I guess I had done that too many times.

I heard someone coming up behind me. I turned my head, and saw that it was Collin. He put his hand on my shoulder. We walked over to my car. We both sat on the trunk.

“You ok?” Collin asked.

“No, Tyler broke up with me.”

“I know. I knew the moment that music started playing.”

“I love him.’

“It’s going to take some time. It’s going to hurt. I’m here for you. If you need someone to talk to, vent to, or if you need a shoulder to cry on; give me a call.”

“Thank you so much. You’re a great friend.”

“Really?”

“What?”

“Is that where I am?”

“No, it’s just too soon for me. I need some time I get over this.”

“I understand. I can wait.”

I leaned over and laid my head on his shoulder. He offered his for me to cry and I was going to use it. He leaned his head against mine and started rubbing my back.

[Brad’s POV]

I couldn’t move from my chair. I could feel the hurt in the words as Tyler sang his last song. I could feel his pain. I don’t know if the others felt the same thing. James and Jennifer remained seated as well. All of us just sat there, staring at the stage.

“Wow” I finally said, breaking the silence between us. “Tyler is more than just hurt. His heart has been shattered.”

“Yeah it has. I feel so bad for him.” Jennifer said.

“How could Brent do that him? I mean cone on. Every time I saw them together, Tyler’s eyes were glowing. He was madly in love with Brent. Even after all the shit the put him through.”James said

I’m going to need to give Tyler some time to get over this. I’m going to be there for him.

AM.....wait for it.....AZING. I can't wait for your new one. I'll be sure to save each and every chapter of this baby so I can read it in the future! :D Masterful work my friend :)

Tim,
Heartbreaking on the one hand - he loved the jerk.
But, on the other, they both have guys waiting in the background for them.

Maybe they will find love that will last the next time around, and maybe the will be able to look back, later, fondly, and still hold the love, in a distant, matured, different way. Close friends who have shared a lot together.

I wasn't sure how you were going to wrap up this story, but I did have my suspicions.

Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

I hope things are smoothing out on the homefront - moving can put strains on day to day life.
 (*8*)

nooooooooo lol can't believe them two are over :(
looking forward to your next book :) as this can't end there lol well i hope not lol
and a new title for the book?... Hmm i dunno, not good with naming things lol well anyway i'll sure be looking out for your new book xD if its anything like this one im sure i'(l be gripped to it like glue and be on the edge of my seat on every chapter!! :)

Tim, this story was engaging, and deeply satisfying.

I look forward to the next book.....

I can see a young Justin from queer as folk usa being Tyler

I would be inclined to agree with you on that one, but Tyler is not a blonde boy. But I think he is more like Michael.

I Just started watching season 3 last nite. It is keeping my mind off my family. They only people that I want to see anymore is My man, my son, my rommates, and my brother. Right now the other people in my life can suck an egg.

Everyone on here is still love, but i havent had the time, or the engery to want to really get on here.

I am going to post the prologue of the next story on this stories page. I still need to figure out what i want to call it. I really bad with naming things. I kinda want it to be along the same lines as this one, but something that says that this is the next chapter.

Um ... maybe ... "Ebb Tide"? :D

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)
Chaz :luv:

"High Tide" or "Full Moon"? "Ebb Tide" might be a 3rd or 4th book -
Without knowing the slant of the next book, "Surf's Up" or "Rip Tide"?

I'm sorry things with family are strained.

"The Luna Tide"? or "The Tide from the Midnight Sun" would be nice, it would tie into Don's suggestion of the Full Moon's power over the tide :) Just my 2c ;)

I've loved the story from the beginning. But this ending isn't my favorite. But maybe my hopelessly romantic thoughts will have to wait for the end of the next story.

If the next book in this series will also be the last, how about "The Tide Began to Fall". If the story goes where I think it's going to go, book 2 will be a loose "opposite" of book 1, with a different set of lovers, ones who were waiting in the wings for the first book.

High Tide

Prologue

Tyler and Brent are no longer together. The end of the relationship started when they got in a fight. To make things up to Tyler Brent took him out to dinner. It was the first real date. When they got to the restaurant, they met Collin. He’s a boy the same age as Tyler and Brent. The moment that Brent laid eyes on him, he had feelings for him.

Things moved fast. Everyone was hanging out at the mall the next day. Not everyone wanted to go the stores. They decided to split up. Tyler went with Brie to a clothing store, while Brent to Collin to Spencer’s.

Brie and Tyler talked. Tyler had started noticing that way that Brent was acting. He saw the gleam in his eyes when he talked to and about Collin. To Tyler, the passion that they once had was gone. His heart was braking.

Unable to enjoy the shopping, Brie and Tyler decided to go find Brent and Collin. It was a good, but horrible, thing that they did. When they walked into the store, they found them holding each other. Tyler was in shock. The moment Tyler heart broke complete happened when Brent kissed Collin. Not just a peck on the lips. There was passion to it. Even Tyler, looking on, could see that.

The week following, was not fun for Tyler. He spent all of his time ripping up notes form Brent and avoiding him in the halls. The end of the week of heart ache came with Brent singing a love song to Tyler and the talent show. Tyler sang a song with Brent as well. The difference was that Tyler’s song was to tell Brent that is was over.

Now, Tyler is happier. At least Brie thinks he is. There is still pain in his heart from all he has been through. He still holds his love for Brent. He still finds Brent staring at him throughout the day. Tyler still hasn’t been back to Brent’s house to get his stuff.

Brent is Miserable. He hurt that one that he loved. He can’t get the kiss out of his head. He wonders why; why he kissed him, why he has such strong feelings for someone he just met.

There you have it.

Hi, Tim.
Good to hear from you. The stage is set. Now to see what the play is all about . . . . Looking forward to your next literary endeavor.

You've been busy writing. I hope that means things have gotten a little less hectic/harried on the (extended) home front.

TIm, I am looking forward to High Tide. There are some unresolved plot twists that need to be played out yet., especially with Tristan (I didn't forget that he is still skulking somewhere in the shadows...) keep up the great work! :D
