Agreed. I have nothing against threads of that nature.

The ones I avoid are the ones which are, or are very obviously going to turn into, sordid, backslapping congratulatory ones, usually hijacked by one or two protagonists, viz:

I just overlook threads that don't hold my interest. Not every thread on this board is going to be interesting to me, nor do I expect them to be. I mean, who cares? What interests some may not interest others and if certain threads make some people all happy & shit, then why not?

Just bypass it and move on. Or maybe create a thread of your own that you will like? :)
 
The ones that people start just to bash on someone elses lifestyle choices (i.e. religion, piercings, tattoos, fetishes etc) I just don't think that its necessary to start a thread with something along the lines of "Don't you think that *insert group of choice are just ridiculous?"
