It's not the knife, it's the sales pitch.
Scott Heimendinger is a natural salesman.

Knife only, £297.00 or $399.00

I wonder if the same technology could be used to power the little things like nail clippers and those gadgets that get rid of hairs up your nose and in your ears. I use nail clippers for both but often there is bloodshed.

Who would be crazy enough to pay $400 or $500 dollars for a knife to chop a few vegetables?

My barber offers to deal with nasal hairs with hot wax and cotton buds. No thanks!

Beyond the cost - these are all pre-orders. Actual shipments will not happen until January 2026.

Heim is a German for "home" and ding is a word for "thing", thus "Heimendinger" = Home Things. Pretty sure a fake name since he is selling home things.

P.S. Heim can also be a word for "asylum", so there you go.

His name does have a kind of "movie script name" vibe.

You could just get your knives regularly sharpened professionally like we do.
And spend the money on really high quality steel.

Or this.

Yeah, you could buy this. And throw it out when the u/s tech stops working after a while.

And yeah. Total made up name. Like his robot.
