As opposed to another 80's and/or a Japanese horror remake, or an "opposites attract" romantic comedy, or another R-rated Judd Apatow comedy, etc, etc?


This movie has already done well with a successful marketing campaign (which is still relatively different) & building up hype. And keeping the monster MIA is builds interest too (Unlike Snakes On A Plane, which seemed ridiculous both online & in TV spots)

As far as official info it has been stated by the director that this is NOT a remake of any Godzilla film nor is it a Voltron movie... the rights to that have been bought by another film company..

He has stated it is a monster movie involving a monster no one has seen before.

Also 1/18/08 is the official website so far but there are others secrets on the web waiting to be discovered...
