Cameron Adams of Daily Beast suggests the reason is another example of the administration's racism.

They are going to take Trump saying, "Praise be to Allah", as mocking their religion. The whole Islamic world is not going like that and Iran is going take it as a challenge to defend their religion. It's going to make things a heck of a lot worse.

Trump is getting desperate and doesn't know what to do. He's acting like a mean dog backed into a corner, viciously snapping at everyone he can. He is seriously losing it. The rest of the world is looking at Trump in horror as a demented madman that we are unable to control.

Can you imagine if Biden or Obama had said something like that? Republicans would be out of their freaking minds.

Donald Trump does not think strategically. Nor does he think historically, geographically, or even rationally. He does not connect actions he takes on one day to events that occur weeks later. He does not think about how his behavior in one place will change the behavior of other people in other places...

For the past 14 months, few foreign leaders have been able to acknowledge that someone without any strategy can actually be president of the United States...

But in Trump’s mind, these threats are justified: He has a problem right now, so he wants other countries to solve it. He doesn’t seem to remember or care what he said to their leaders last month or last year, nor does he know how his previous decisions shaped public opinion in their countries or harmed their interests. But they remember, they care, and they know.

He has isolated the US from the rest of the western world to such a degree, we don't want to have anything to do with his regime, the rest of his lick-spittle government lackeys in Congress and the Supreme Court or even much to do with American companies, their products, their owners, collapse in cultural endeavours, travel, travellers...none of it.

We are exhausted after these months of crafting and then remodelling defensive positions for our western democracies; of watching the country tear itself apart and try to tear the world apart.

And listening to one third of the country continue to trumpet their racism and hate, while another third of the country keeps trying to apologize and tell us mall it isn't them, while a third stay silent.

It still just sickens me that leaders of other democratic nations continue to make visits to the Oval Office to polish the image of a madman. Including the impending visit of King Charles who will no doubt be insulted
in public about England losing the colonies and how England needs to bring their begging bowl when meeting with him.

I have mentioned to my MP at an event recently that the Liberal caucus need to make sure that our PM and other senior officials avoid Washington like the plague. I never wnat to see the leader of our country
with Trump again.
