Wow, if Britney is the "Princess of PoP"and Michael Jackson is the "Prince of Pop" I would hate to see the Kind and Queen!
 
The show itself was cheap. I liked Pink's, Christina's, and T.I.'s performances.

Britney winning for Piece of Me is a Piece of crap. Britney has done a lot of great videos but Piece of Me was prolly one of her worst videos. I thought she looked not good either. Her hair looked like a Halloween wig with LA looks gel in it.

It's like the bar is so low for her that if she's not bald with her gut pokin out people say she looks amazing. so sad.
 
MJ is the king and Madonna is the queen u know. The prince im not sure who that would be. JT maybe? I dunno.

This was the worst VMA's I have ever seen! And the awards went to the worst video's (i.e. Britney!!)

The fans only voted for the Best New Artist winner.

The awards are not voted by the fans. I think only best new artist is. I dont mind Birtne winning but I think she won for all the wrong reasons. She has done great videos but Piece of Me isnt one of them.

It's like Denzel Washington never winning an Oscar till Training Day when he had so many amazing performance that went unawarded. Maybe a bad example because he was good in it. But it was hardly his BEST.
 
I think overall the show was pretty good, much better than last year's mess. I didnt care much for Kanye's performance (crap) but Xtina, Pink and Rihanna did great. Well... Rihanna's live voice sucks but at least I apreciate she tries to do it live rather than lypsyncin.

Britney winning three awards, I know that she prolly didnt deserve all of them cuz Piece of Me wasnt that good, but I'm glad she is being loved again. Besides I cant think of anyone else nominated that deserved it more.

I think she deserved all 3 for her contribution to pop music and MTV over the years.

Its crazy that she never won before but Piece of Me is a good pop song by itself so it sold teh video which made it win 3 awards.
 
Does Britney have better videos than Piece of Me that got nominated but didn't win? Yes.

But her wins are WAY overdue...seriously though, Toxic should have won an award.

The host was just poking fun at the ridiculousness of the Jonas Brothers popularity. No need to take it personal & go on the offensive for "promise rings"

And its nice that she thinks tons of people would even want her...she is NOT the only attractive thick chick out there...

Otherwise fun show, even though I stopped watching. Loved T.I. & Rihanna, Pink, & Christina's new songs/performances & the host was funnier than I was expecting

Britney Spears was pretty mundane & lame, but I'm sure all the media will over-hype how great she was

OMG, agreed. Someone needs to tell Jordin Sparks to pull the stick out of her ass and learn to take a joke -- one that wasn't even aimed at her.

I like Russel Brand. I don't think he's hot by any stretch of the imagination, but I think he's funny and entertainingly flamboyant.

The only performances I cared to see were reduced to bits cut off by commercial breaks (Katy Perry and The Ting Tings). Ugh.

And woo-hoo for Fanny Pak!!! Ummm, I thought they were supposed to perform at the awards for winning?!
 
Yeah I dont get the whole Jonas Brothers thing. Glad they didnt win a thing.
 
i loved xtina's performance! she looks so different and always reinvinting herself!
