The Walker Tapes: fake Koch Dupes Gov to divulge his plans

It seems that if you don't think they were fist-fucking, that makes the entire recording invalid. Brilliant! :=D:
P.S. How's Frank?

No, the fact that Governor doesn't know the man well enough to recognize his voice proves that. It's pretty simple.

Who is Frank?

His full name is Frank Luntz - Republican spin doctor (consultant). Frank tells the True Believers what to say and they say it. It's like Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy, except Frank and his minions aren't funny.

I talk to my operative in Kabul almost every day and I'll be darned if I could identify him in a voice lineup. Life goes on.

It's embarrassing and pathetic to see how some people are trying to spin this story. He simply can't admit he's wrong.

Limbaugh's understudy? No.... Newt's butt boy.

There is an old Nepalese saying relative to certain individuals: "you spit in his face and he thinks its raining." :help:

Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining....

We've caught these rat bastards hook, line and sinker...

I can only imagine the scramble that is going on in the Fox "News" camps this morning, along with the the Limbaugh and Beck disinformation centers.

If Obama doesn't jump on this, all hope is lost,...

And drum roll please? guess who he works for!!!!

What I really don't understand is why there are people pretending that this isn't happening.

The Koch brothers bought themselves a governor, and we now know now how well corporate sponsored and owned governors obey their masters.

This. It is clear that the Koch brothers targeted this and perhaps other states to attempt to create a crisis and to tackle unions.

Increasingly, these monsters are the greatest threat to the US today.

How long is it before they move to political assassination?

new today on this topic... sites post transcripts of the conversation and Walker is taking heat for discussing a planned trick he was trying to negotiate....

n what the website presented as a transcript of that conversation, Walker talks about an idea of bringing 14 Democratic state senators -- who left the state to prevent a quorum for discussing the budget bill -- back to the assembly to "talk, not negotiate," allow them to recess, and then have the 19 Republican senators declare a quorum.

Thats the same trick they used to get Abe Lincoln back when he did this in the 1850's. It worked on lincoln.

It's not going to work on these guys.

The website also claims that Murphy, posing as Koch, suggested "planting some troublemakers" among the people protesting the measure in Madison, the capital, and that Walker replied, in part, "we thought about that." However, in an audio recording of what Murphy claimed was the phone call, only Murphy's voice can be heard.

this quote above also points out that the gov has been thinking of sending covert people into teh crowd to act badly in the crowd for the media to see in an attempt to sway public support back towards them.

obviously the horse has already left the barn, but is it legal to record someone without their consent or a warrant in the state?

disclosing his strategy to get the Democratic lawmakers back into the state was clearly a boneheaded move and I'm sure the governor is kicking himself for it, but there doesn't seem to be anything particularly damning in the tapes. rod blagojevich set the bar pretty high when it comes to recording a politician's phone calls.

there's alot of damage in that he is willing to have such an open relationship with this guy. He shared the inner workings of his office to him, and was recieving input.

Thats big.

If it was illegal in that state then we would know by now.

And really its small cookies compared to the antics and deceptions of Brietbart. Did you conservatives never consider that a guy like him would not emerge on the democratic side? The republicans set the bar on this and now the dem radical groups are going for it too. Its not going to be easy to be a teaparty politician from here on out.

This will affect them. After this incident, the Gov of Indiana caved on his agenda and gave up on his union busting there, so this is affecting the entire union busting movement.

it one phonecall, the union busting was tied to the corporations and the politicians who take their money.

This is a game changer, buddy

While this won't stop the Koch's, it has to have the attention of the DOJ and lawmakers in Washington to determine if this creates an actual legal conflict with legislation protecting workers in the US.

What it will have done is make the people of the US really wary now of any move by their governments that would seem to remove or abridge their rights.

So it probably was a great thing that it has blown up in the face of Walker et al. so big.

I have no doubt that retrenchment by other state governors will be one of the results of this utter fiasco in Wisconsin.

this is going to make the public wary of any politician who rode in on the teaparty coat tails.

Notice, Scott Brown of Massachusetts recently disavowed them, and said that he is a republican first, not a tea party member any more.

In the end his election may have been the best thing to happen to Democrats everywhere.

we are seeing the actions of some radical people here, and the vast independent center does not like radical.

The one reason that this type of voter likes a split gov't control is because they really aren't interested in too much change.

When they bought the teaparty ticket it was with the understanding that things were going to get normal again.... I.E. they don't want cuts to affect their life quality.

I agree. The longer the republicans and teaparty guys talk and act, the higher Obama's ratings climb and people's perceptions of them diminish.

Yeah, they're real radical. That's why last November the Democrats got the biggest ass kicking in half a century

I think that his owners are going to seriously reconsider how hard they should push before 2012 in case they lose the war for winning the battle.

Look for calm to return.

But God help America if the Koch's win the 2012 election.

Yeah, they're real radical. That's why last November the Democrats got the biggest ass kicking in half a century

Yeah, they're really radical. I can tell you didn't go to grade school in Wisconsin. Thank heaven!

Regarding your "ass kicking" reference, I respectfully disagree. Please see presidential election 1964, Johnson vs. Goldwater. Also, Nixon vs. McGovern, 1972. Reagan vs. Carter in 1980 and Reagan vs. Mondale in 1984 were also landslides. You need to brush up on both your spelling and your history before you go spouting off. I know how difficult it must be for you to be confronted with the facts.

I meant the biggest midterm election asskicking ..| Notice how I said "last November." You really need to brush up on your reading skills before you go spouting off again like a snob.

Thanks for the concern though, but my knowledge of history is very accurate.

There's nothing more pathetic than internet bullies looking to start fights over typos....

I re-read your post and although you did say "last November" I don't believe you specified "in a mid-term election" although last November was a mid-term election. My reading skills are quite good though, thank you. Glad I didn't go to school in Wisconsin either. Also, a small point: you said your "knowledge of history is very accurate." You may wish to say that your recall of history is very accurate. Knowledge is just knowledge - a small consideration. We have one point of agreement: I really am a snob. I can't help myself.

By the way, the "ass kicking" was partly a product of indifferent Democrats deciding to stay home. I think many of them are suffering from buyer's regret now, but as the old saying goes, "as ye sew, so shall ye reap" couldn't be more true.
