The Walking Dead [merged]

Re: The walking dead

Robert Kirkman, one of the writers on TWD was asked in an EW.com interview what Jenner whispered to Rick. He said:

"I don’t want to give anything away! Look, it could have been just like, “Hey, watch out for those zombies out there, dude!” But it wasn’t. It’ll probably be revealed in season two, what he said. And it’s pretty monumental."

Thanks. Very Helpful.

Re: The walking dead

I can't seem to find the old Walking Dead thread...

but anyone else excited for tonight? :D

I need someone to cuddle with me while we watch the premiere of season two :(

Re: The walking dead

the season premiere was pretty good, there were somethings that didnt make sense (mostly in that scene where everyone was hiding under the cars), but beyond that it felt really slow. although i guess its just building up for the rest of the season. being that Shane didnt die like he did in the comic, if makes me wonder how that is going to change the story line.

something bugged me too, in season one when they are stuck in the city they understand that the zombies can smell fresh flesh meters away but in the premiere they just walked by ... >_<

Re: The walking dead

I'm loving the show, despite the stuff that makes you shake your head in wonder.

What happened to the little girl is what I want to know.

Re: The walking dead

Disappointed by the season opener. Started good but stalled out. After the zombie crawl down the interstate the story crapped out and the next hour of the 1-1/2 hr show went nowhere. No plot development, nothing. Just looking for a little girl lost in the woods. That time should have been briefly covered and they should have moved on. Rather it was with the deer and the result of that or what. They just took to much film time searching for the girl. I mean they could have indicated in 30 seconds of dialog that they spent 24 or 48 hrs looking for the girl but, blah..........

Re: The walking dead

Well what irked me the whole show was the fact the woman see the zombie go after her child and she stayed under the car. Anybody, no matter what, would have took off from under the car to help her kid BUT then where would the show go for the next hour. Also, how did the zombies just "show up" all of a sudden with them using binoculars to keep an eye on things. Still enjoyed the show though.

On the perverted side, nice crotch shots of, not Rick, his ex partner, as they were walking thru the woods.

Re: The walking dead

Am I the only one that is getting bored with the whole premise?

I feel that zombies had their moment in 2010, but realistically we're approaching 2012 and I'm kind of over it.

Don't get me wrong - I did get some enjoyment out of season 1.

Re: The walking dead

No, I am not bored with zombies. Or more to the point, bored with this show.

I've never been a big fan of the whole zombie genre itself, so I'm not watching or reading anything other than this show. No burn out factor.

And since TWD is still turning out good stories (for the most part), I'm still here waiting to see what's next.

Re: The walking dead

I got around to watching it the other night...yawn.

Still poor writing, acting...

I was hoping fo more.

The make-up is truly, for me, frightening. The visual effects almost turn my stomach, but, without a good script...story...fluid motion...

NAY

Re: The walking dead

I enjoyed the opener. Interested to see the new characters.

Re: The walking dead

I agree with some others here where the first half was better than the last half in the opener. The story got silly. How could that girl get lost in such a short distance from the highway? If she was that dumb and couldn't find her way back, she would be better off getting devoured by zombies.

Re: The walking dead

just started watching this series and like what I see. Let's hope that continues.

Re: The walking dead

The Zombies should have been able to smell them especially since that guy was bleeding all over. The zombies did move a bit quicker in this episode. I am a bit distracted by the blonds botoxed up face. She can barely make a expression. There must be a zombie doctor she has hidden someplace no one knows about. I didn't love this episode like I did the first 5 episodes of season 1.

I say that they all get taken out. Child actors are the worst.

I wasn't very excited after watching the first episode of the new season either. Hopefully it gets better. I've only read some of the comics. I know where they're going now and if they stick to the comic it should be pretty good.

Re: The walking dead

Okay so maybe it's merely a fantasy on my part, but during last night's episode, did anyone else feel like Rick and Shane should just start making out already?

There was a scene where Shane wipes blood off Rick's face, and a scene where they were talking at kissing level, hands around each others heads, where I just thought: I want to see these dudes get it on!

Re: The walking dead

yea i noticed how shane and rick were with each other on last nights episode lol. for a minute i thought they we're gonna make out or something, lol. but overall i feel like the show is going TOOO slow. its kinda starting to frustrate me.

Re: The walking dead

It is way too slow. I'd rather see development of the others and their pasts instead of Rick's annoying cheating wife. She's the worst on the show.

Re: The walking dead

Yeah i've been noticing after reading some of the graphic novels that a whole episode may only account for 5-7 pages in the book.
