Someone explain something to me that I could never understand about most zombie outbreak stories. How can the zombie population be so big when these zombies do more devouring than just biting? I don't see how it can be so epidemic when getting attacked by zombies will likely mean you well get devoured with nothing left of you to continue walking. These zombies don't simply take a bite and just walk away.

For example, are we to believe that Sophia was only bitten, and she was able to escape attacking zombies before she changed over? And if so, are we to believe the rest of the huge zombie population was as "lucky"?

I agree. I have thought of that also. But it's more dramatic for Sophia to come walking out of that barn dead than them never finding her. It ties up the story. Which I am sure you know. A "real" zombie attack would leave little left. Though with so many people in the world even if 50% got eaten there is still a large number left of the undead to walk around.

If you're bitten... you can still escape... but that doesn't mean you're not going to be joining the zombies later.

And as for your concern on thinking that the zombies do more devouring than just biting... I think when you see the zombies devouring someone it's because that person is injured and just can't escape. Like we saw with one of the attackers at the bar that Hershel shot. That guy was shot and wounded and couldn't move. Therefore he was devoured.

In tonight's episode Shane checked the two dead cops that they killed at the front gates, they tried to look for any kind of bite marks and couldn't find any. Rick said that they might of gotten scratched which now means that all zombies need to do is scratch and you will become one of them. I'm surprised that they can get blood from a zombie splattered all over their face and if it gets in their mouth or eyes that they aren't instantly infected.

They said they have three more episodes left until the season is over and I can't wait until they get out of that farm because I am sure that a new setting is best.

The zombie thing was always confusing to me as well. Some movies have it where you can only get it through bites.
Others have it where anything that breaks the skin and gets into your bloodstream means you can join the undead.
The latter appears to apply here.

I think in the case of when Shane shot Otis so he could escape the walkers, the walkers would eat up as much as they could. If Otis were lucky, he might come back to life...or rather perhaps just his head might come back to life. Think Bicycle Girl from the first season without arms... and partial body. He'll probably be just a worm when he comes back to life. ~~~~~

And as for this episode, it was crazy. Andrea was all, "She wanted to kill herself, she attempted, and she failed. :'D She'll survive!" Cra-zay.

Don't shoot me, but I was actually on Lori's side. =x Probably because Andrea just has that look and plays the annoying/hated part so well.

As for the Zombie thing, I was a little worried when Rick was fighting those three zombies; didn't he have open wounds from his fight with Shane? Speaking of the fight, it was pretty good scene of the episode.

I totally thought Maggie would punch Andrea, oh well. I love a good girl fight.

I was kind of thinking the same thing... The entire time that girl was contemplating suicide (I honestly don't know her name, I don't know a lot of names despite watching the series from the beginning), Maggie was talking about how Herschel would flip out and stuff. I would have liked to see that, weird how they hardly put any of the characters into that episode. I guess it was more focused around Rick and Shane though, which is nice.

I don't know why Lori became such a sexist there, it doesn't even fit her character....

Looking forward to next episode, really looks like they're gonna' get shit done!

What Andrea said was logic and made sense, even in reality I don't think you should stop someone from killing themselves (well actually I'm kind of iffy about that). It definitely makes sense in their world, but it is good to try and convince them to keep on living.

Worried? Rick is a badass. And he showed that last night sticking his gun in the mouth of a zombie and killing two of them at the same time.

Did you not see him take down two men in that bar within seconds?

Rick is a badass, and so is Herschel! Seeing Herschel use that gun was amazing.

Agree with this 100%, Honestly in our world letting someone attempt is pretty bad, but in their world when they have limitted resources and death is always a problem, you need to have someone committed to living on your side. Not someone who was guilted into living by their family. What if in a zombie attack she sees the end and lets it happen failing in protecting people or what not..
And Lori is a twat, going off on her own to find rick was the first straw. Lecturing Andrea on her role was the second. Then acting badass because she killed two walkers when she went off on her own.. get a fucking life... and Andrea is right, everyone is alone and has no one. Lori has a husband a kid an unborn baby and a boyfriend who keep fighting for her love, bitch needs to shut the fuck up
