the walking dead

I love this show. I watch it religiously. It has an amazing cast and the plots are great. For those who cant wait for season 2, go and buy the graphic novels, there's a whole series. Also in regards to the women doing the washing/cleaning etc, its the end of the world, gender roles will revert to men be hunter-gatherers and protectors while women will stay in the home/camp.

I've downloaded the first 5 episodes (and I believe that's all we're up to in England). Haven't seen any yet, but I've got Thursday and Friday off of work, so I'll watch some during my time off. In fact, I may watch episode 1 in bed right now. Yes, I think I will! ..|

You think so? I don't think so. Next week maybe things will come to a head between the two lead sheriff guys in the CDC. Last week the one pointed the rifle at the other.
I can't remember the names.
Also the CDC dude is gonna need some new material. A human that is infected but not dead yet to continue testing to see what happens since he lost all his research material.
See they shouldn't have left the infected guy on the side of he road next to a oak tree

I think how the CDC was introduced was pretty lame and I hope it doesn't stray into the underground cave space ship mad scientist set

Ahaha, 20 minutes in, during the hospital scene when he only has matches for a light.. TURNED OFF. LOL!! !oops! I'll watch it during the day, hahaha!! !oops!

This looks like a rip-off of 28 Days Later....
This is so not like 28 Days Later. The only similarity they have is that they both have zombies. This show is overall more slower whereas 28 Days is more intense focusing on action and violence.

Actually the last couple episodes were somewhat boring because they were too slow and had too much plain dialogue. There is only one episode left in this first "season", or rather mini-season.

guy wakes up alone in hospital? zombieism is caused by a virus? gruelling struggle for survival? meh. what do i know. i'll just go eat brains for a while.

The beginning in the hospital was the only real similarity. If you are going to complain about a virus, then you may as well say that 28 Days was a ripoff of the Resident Evil video game series from many years before. And grueling struggle for survival? Name one zombie movie where grueling survival is not part of the story.

What does Romero have to say about the show? I'd love to see an interview with Romero and hear his opinion on some specific zombie pieces... What does he think of the show, the comic, what does he think of Resident Evil, 28 Days Later etc...

I would care what Romero thinks if he actually made a decent Dead movie in the last 20 years. His latest ones have been horribly bad and ironically non-horrifying. His goal always seems to make some type of social statement rather than to horrify.

His bad movies of llate don't change the fact that he invented the genre and most every zombie movie since still uses his formula.

I dunno... Survival of the Dead was set in Delaware. That's pretty damn horrifying.
