the walking dead

:rotflmao:

I recently bought the six episodes on iTunes and yesterday I finished watching all of them. I loved every minute of the show.

WTF did Dr. Jenner whisper in Rick's ear? I want to know!

And I'm  at the thought of waiting eight months for the show's return.

Is it really going to be 8 months?

I thought it was pretty amazing too, and really liked it! Can't wait for next season!

Here's something to think about.

First of all, The Walking Dead enjoyed a very high number of viewers. In fact, it was the highest AMC ever saw. That said, very popular shows have been canceled in the past for being too successful.

What's too successful, you ask? Well, it just means that people turn to that channel once a week to watch that particular show and that's it for that channel.

An example of this was Babylon 5 Crusade, which enjoyed an even higher rating than its parent series Babylon 5. But TNT found out from a study that Babylon 5 Crusade viewers only watched TNT once a week to see this series. In other words, Crusade literally got canceled because it was too popular for its own good.

Both my bf and I are huge zombie fans. Last year we always left whatever social events we were at to catch the episodes.

I'm just afraid that those AMC corporate bastards will cancel this series because it's too popular and so people ain't viewing anything else on AMC.

That doesn't make sense to me... what do they expect, that by cancelling their best show people will start watching other stuff on their channel? I'd expect they just don't watch anything. So it's better to have one successfull show than nothing at all.

I disagree Cannibal, Mad Men and Breaking Bad are just as popular as The Walking Dead. All the series on AMC continue to receive rave reviews.

God yes and I love it...It's kinda more creepy too me than most of you...since I live by Fort Benning and that's one of the places that they refer to going too quite often on the show, just too see if there are survivors...but really, I do believe it's the best new show too air in a long time.

is anybody else watching this amazing show?

seriously its the best thing on tv right now.

I read all the comics.... and then I was like oh hey new tv show about Zombies.... wait a sec why does this seem so familiar.... and then I realized it's the exact same thing and stopped watching it because I already knew what was going to happen lol

I was a big B5 fan, but never even heard of Crusade til now. I think your info is wrong there.

I agree. A network canceling its one good show (where they can actually earn revenue by selling commercial ad slots at a higher rate), because people aren't watching it's other shows would be like shooting your fully functional right foot because it worked while your left didn't. You'd be stuck going nowhere fast, then.

Aw, I miss BSG. That show ended one or two seasons too early.

I agree but they at least finished the show in a fairly tidy package. I'm annoyed with syfy because they cancelled Caprica and SGU but air crap like Face Off. Fail.

si fi made us wait even longer for bsg. I think I can wait a few months in between season 2.

i'm just happy to have the show back

i can wait a couple of months in between

Its just a shame that Frank Darabont was fired from the show..I wonder how the show will be now.

Those friggin bean counters:mad:
