My apologies, mon ami ... you DID tell me you were going to post this thread, but I missed it in the chaos and hecticness, partially of my own life (I haven't been at JUB much lately due to travel) and the speed at which Hot Topics moves these days. (Holy cow! 161 people looking at Hot Topics??? I remember when it was 60 on a busy day!)

I'm glad you're in the same time zone as me, at least ... and I know this is a big change! Southern Boy moves to a Southwestern city. Welcome! West Hollywood ABQ ain't, even Capitol Hill in Denver isn't anything like WeHo (but to me, that's a positive thing :-) ) but the West is still a great place to embark upon new adventures and carve out a piece of the pie for yourself. One thing you didn't mention, without going into too many details, is the possibilities the new job and industry open up. It's a berry pie, and there are many more fruits in it (pardon the intentional pun)!

You can count on continued support and friendship both on-line and off-line, as you make this change and following the transition, not just from me, but from many people, both within and without JUB. You've got a heart of gold and you're so good with people that I know you'll get established with a new townful of friends in no time. And I hope those friends will love you for the whole of you, not just part of you.

This is an amazing story and a very encouraging story. Thanks for posting it Hardup..A lot of people fear change and to read about such a successful transition is a great help to them. I KNOW you are off to a great new chapter in your life.
