The Windy City Incident

Has anyone seen "The Windy City Incident" (http://www.tlavideo.com/details/product_details.cfm?id=206482&c=-1&v=2&sn=3730) ? It is a movie I had a role in a few years ago. It was finally released onto DVD and I am curious as to if anyone has seen it or what they thought. At the time of making it, I knew it had problems. But, then it disappeared from view until recently. I guess they finally were able to piece it together into a "comedy" somehow. May not have been hard to do as there was like no script or anything to begin with. I played "Randy" in the film. It was originally a drama/thriller. Hard to do on NO BUDGET!!! It went through like two directors as well... Guess I need to get a copy, but have been scared of seeing how bad it may really be!!!

SYNOPSIS
From the makers of Gods of Olympia comes this campy gay trailer trash spiritual journey that features plenty of softcore sex and nudity. Chanel Puget resides in peaceful Olympia, Washington, and is frequently haunted by ghostly dreams. One evening, Chanel has a vivid dream and is "ordered" to travel to Chicago. Despite continual pressure from his boyfriend of two months (Randy, played by James Townsend), Chanel follows the message in his dreams and heads for Chicago, the "windy city." Upon his arrival, Chanel wastes no time supporting his rent and daily expenses by hustling on the streets. One evening while visiting a drag bar, Chanel's past history collides with the present. Mysteries begin to unravel as it becomes apparent that Chanel's body and soul have become a vehicle for ghastly and vindictive apparitions. Only the viewer knows if Chanel will safely and sanely make it back to his home in Olympia, or be possessed forever in Chicago by the dreaded ghost, "Ant."

REVIEW
After several years of rewrites, additional sequences and added animation this unfortunate movie arrives on DVD. Sorry we've never finished the film, we've tried three times, so it's unfair of us to judge, but based on what we've seen this one's not really watchable. It's sad that so much work from lots of talented people went into the film. We're sure that each of these people will do better with their next project.

Horrible Movie that really does not possess a single attribute worth mentioning. The film lazily tries to reach the vulgar level of humor only John Waters can properly pull off. However, it falls flat instantly. All in all it looks like a movie some 60 year old pervert made on his handheld video camera. Bad story, bad lighting/sound/etc. Bad acting, but hey-- these poor actors had nothing to work with. Brad Pitt couldn't deliver the lines of dialogue and be credible in such a role.

friend rented this and told me it was beyond horrible... apparently there is really bad animation filling in shots that the film crew couldnt film properly... and the film jumps from one bad shot to another, being narratted by some drag queen carrying a doll. My head is spinning, almost curious enough to track it down, but already having not seen it, I am embarrassed by my past involvement with the film.

Two more reviews found on Netflix! LOL-- too funny!!!

1) I watched this last night and it is the worst movie I've seen since 'An Angel Named Billy' I usually can find something to enjoy about independent films with a gay theme, but there are some that have no redeeming qualities and 'Windy' is just latest one. Even the male nudity didn't make up the ridiculous storyline. Don't believe me? Rent it and regret it.

2) This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Gay film producers should do better than this or give up.

Okay I finally managed to watch, or attempt to watch the film. I must say it is the worst film project i have ever ever been a part of. what a mistake. everything about it was beyond horrible.
