When I was 20, I would have remembered every moment of this feed from the first listening.

I can now listen to this over and over and not remember the entire recording and actually find something new on every listening because each time it is (almost) like the first time. (Some 'hits' are pretty familiar)

Are there books or music or movies or theatre that you can return to now that you don't have the curse of memory hanging over you?

'Boomers' (BBC TV programme)

Q: "What's so great about losing your short-term memory?"

A: "You can hide your own Easter Eggs."

I still listen to a lot of the same music I listened to as a teen. Probably a result of all the anxiety and anger I carry around.

Because there was so much I listened to, I am always re-discovering music from the past that I once loved. What's interesting is how there's some stuff I was fanatical about back then and can't bear at all now, as well as stuff I liked only marginally but can appreciate much more thoroughly now.

Books are different. A good book will always be a good book, although what I take from it may be enhanced.

This dynamic is a bit different for films because some of the medication I take fucks with my memory so there are times I can watch and enjoy a movie and not remember having seen it before. For this reason, I always erase my streaming history.

One of these days I hope to sit through "Breaking Bad'' again.

That's pretty much it. Aging does NOT bode well with me at all.

That's funny!

I've watched episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise, on Amazon Prime. Sometimes I watch the same episode twice in a row.
As soon as I logoff - I can't remember what I saw. I can't even remember the name of the episodes.

It has been a little over a year now and I have to ask my husband if I ate - and what did I eat if the answer is yes.

I have a sense of humor about it and I still haven't made up my mind if it is still the covid brain fog (which was/might still be real bad) or if this is just the getting older thing.

Maybe a little of both?

I will never complain though - too many people never get the chance to get older. I gotta start not forgetting if I ate though - getting too skinny.

Getting older fucking sucks! Going grey that wonderful ditty started around 32 /early 33, Got some hair thinning at the top and back of my head...thats fabulous! I get up out of a chair and I hear more snapping crackling and popping than a bowl of fucking Rice Krispies! Bleech no thanks give me back my 20's even though they sucked pretty much (FWIW the 30's aint been so hot neither) And I'm so lucky my odometer turns over next week Sunday! James Dean was right live fast die young and leave a beautiful corpse...of course I would actually have to be beautiful...fuck this is depressing let's day drink!

If when I get old I stop listening to modern music and start just going to opera and listening to classical music, take me out back and shoot me.

Embrace it.

Love the time you are in.

I had this after Shingles on my head...it was about 3 years before the brain fog cleared. Just in time for COVID which we have dodged so far.

Hope you are feeling better everyday Boo.
