Have you seen someone from the net while out and about?

I don't mean at forum meetups or meeting someone from an online dating site. I'm talking about someone whose picture or video you just happened to see on the net and then later you saw them in RL.

This happened to me this weekend, I saw 2 guys from the net while enjoying the nice weather. One was a guy who has a YouTube channel giving advice to gay guys. I happened to come across one of his videos "How to Seduce a Guy" (watched it for about a minute out of curiosity and then had to stop watching because I found myself rolling my eyes at his cliche stereotypes. I ) didn't think much of it until I passed him on the street Sunday.

The other was from D-list. Saw him riding the subway later that day. I'm always on the lookout for people from online dating sites because that cute guy in your class or at work might have a profile. It might even be someone you know.

Didn't realize how often this happens with so many on social networking/ dating sites, at least in big cities.

One day I saw a cute boy in town, and then later on that same day I saw him post on a friend's facebook page :

There's also a creepy guy who's sent messages to me on a dating site asking for sex, who I've seen wandering around town a few times

Yikes! Why is it creepy guys are the ones sending messages and not the cute guys?
That's the downside of having your face in a profile pic, some creepy guy might recognize you and start stalking you. Unlikely but it could happen.

I ran into a guy I went to high school with a couple of months ago.

In between graduating and running into him, he had done porn for a gay site.

It took everything in me not to mention something... But I kept myself together.

A few years ago someone called out my screen name while I was downtown with friends. I never found out who it was, but it made me a lot more cautious about sharing my RL picture. lol

That's never happened to me "unplanned and on-the-fly" (and, for one thing, if it DID, I probably wouldn't realize it...I'm not good with faces).

However, I think this is about the same kind of thing. In May while in Nelson B. C., I ran into this cool [straight] dude, and we hung out together...he even got me stoned. Fast forward more than a week later to Tofino B. C. (a rather TOUGH 400 or 450 miles from Nelson) and I happened to run into him again, by sheer accident!
