After the date is over, the waiting game for who texts first begins. GAH!!!

My solution to this "problem" is simple. If you want to see them again, tell them. During the date.

no, the worst part is when you already know you dont want to go on a 2nd date, and you also know that the other guy does. and now i have to tell him. gaaah.

What? A text? You can't be bothered to actually use the phone for its original function and call to express your romantic interest?

You don't deserve another date.

(Also, what JustJuice said.)

 Dates end? I always just kinda hung out, made coffee in the morning, drove the guy to work, etc. etc. until the restraining order gets served. :help:

Waiting for them to show up.
Most aggravating part.... after one date they ask "well do you think we will be a couple?"

Dunno if you've noticed, but we are in the 21st century. Texting for the most part has taken over talking on the phone.(at least with friends and such)

I think texting is only effective communication when you already know the person well. It's a kind of shorthand and it can save time if you just have tiny bits of information to share. Simple facts only, like "OK we're leaving now, be there in 10 minutes." That sort of thing. But if you don't know the person well, texting seems pretty distant and impersonal. It lacks all the non-verbal communication that voice tone, inflection and timing carry.

If I've had a nice time, I usually shoot them a text first thing the next morning saying so and expressing my willingness to do so again.

I have no qualms about blinking first in this regard.

I caved in:

ME: JOSH!!!
Josh: Yesh?
ME: Okay you're alive, good.
Josh: Lol okay?
ME: I'm cooking omelette. COME!!!
Josh: Hahahaha I'm singing Glee songs in my undies.

Yay!!!

Depends on the situation. My current boyfriend and I met on an online dating sight, but he did not get on the computer much. Instead he gave me his cell number. We texted each other every spare minute we had for the next week before finally getting a chance to meet in person. We got to know each other through text message, and by the time we met we already knew quite a bit about each other, and had already developed feelings for one another.

There are lots of worst parts to dates. One time I stayed over night and couldn't wake up early in the morning. He had to go to work and didn't know what to do. He literally tried to drag me out of the bed. Or the moment when you sober up and say to yourself "did I really fuck that last night"?

When the date was so good you can't wait to see him again, but you just remembered your bf gets back in town tonight.

You're aware of my thoughts on the issue, but I shall say it again...Forget the games that people are 'supposed' to play during the dance that is courting. Instead, if you want to talk to them; talk to them.

None of this, should I or shouldn't I nonsense.

Exactly. I will do that. Actually the worst part of every date is after you have texted and waiting for a reply. Yeah, I've gotten "sorry who is this again?".

the worst part of a date is ....

waiting for the results of the STD tests
