I think I remember watching this as well when i was younger it's another oldie from the 80's starring Diana Rigg and Tim Curry also Charlotte Rae (The Facts of Life) and Fairuza Balk (The Craft, Return To Oz). I think they made a tv series and new version as well

I haven't seen The Worst Witch since I was a kid, but I remember enjoying it.
 
I worked at a cookie store and Fairuza came into the store. She was polite. They were in town (Vancouver) filming Return to Oz, I believe
