I think she WILL win the Women's Title but will make a speech about her leaving and will have to Vacate it (Like Chyna did) and there will be a Battle Royal for it on Monday Night Raw, where Torrie, Candice or Melina could win it :)

It has been announced Layla El is the winner of the 2006 Diva Search!Runner up was Jen and second runner up was of course JT.Way to go Layla !We expect great things from this energetic young Diva.
 
What Brand will Layla be part of? Since this years competition took place on both raw and smackdown.
 
I find it funny how BOTH RAW diva search winners were sent to smackdonw within one year of being on RAW.

I think Layla should be sent to smackdown. Because she is shit. and smackdown is shit. and all the divas on smackdown are shit.

At the moment, it is unclear as to when Lita's WWE contract will expire. It may expire as early as September, however, it would expire during November at the latest. Lita plans on working until the end of her contract but she has expressed no interest in renewing it. However, she has left the door open for a possible return sometime down the line.

Mine would be a tie between Melina and Torrie.Melina for her great in ring ability and Torrie for her in ring ability(and cos I think she deserves it considering how long she has been in the wrestling business)

I feel that Stacy should have a title run, she improved a lot toward the end and it’s too bad she left without having a title run. I would hate if the same happened to Torrie, she needs at least one title run!..|

Stacy actually had a title match against Trish Stratus on October 11,2004 which she lost.Prior to the match Stacy had managed to get wins over former Women's Champions Gail Kim and Molly Holly.2004 also was the year that Stacy took the title 'Babe of the Year' from Stratus.Stratus had held the title from 2001-2003.In 2005 WWE replaced the 'Babe of the Year' competition with the 'Rookie Diva of The year' which was won by Joy Giovanni.

DIVA NEWS!

The company has decided to hire three of the eliminated Diva search contestants.Amy,Zidian and Milena Roucka were given their contract and Maryse Oullet(who had been training at OVW in hopes of getting a contract) recieved one as well.While I am happy for these girls I am also quite worried.During the 2004 Diva search(the once that was won by Christy Hemme)the company hired almost all of the contestants who stayed with the company for a while ,but the majority of them were later released.This included Carmella,Maria,Joy,Michelle,Candice,and Amy(Out of this only three are still with the company.)

It’s said that Dave Batista is currently dating a Diva under contract with WWE, and The W365 Newsletter reports that his new love interest is none other than the recently signed Diva Search loser Rebecca DiPietro.

Batista is currently in the midst of a divorce, and has a lot of backstage heat on him for how he conduced himself at an ECW event earlier this month when the crowd turned on him.
