Whitney Houston is to perform on The X Factor, it has been confirmed.

Whitney will perform on The October 18 Sunday X Factor results show

“I have always loved my UK fans and I’m thrilled to perform for them on The X Factor,” she said. “I am also a fan of Simon Cowell’s and look forward to meeting him. It should be a fun night.”

Houston will release I Look To You, her first studio album since 2002, the day after her X Factor performance. The album debuted at number one on the US albums chart last month.

This week’s X Factor results show will feature performances from Robbie Williams and Alexandra Burke.

Anyone else think Jamie had a rather lackluster performance no matter how Simon dressed it up with the backing track (so you couldn't hear Jamie) and the fireworks and everything?

Talk about brainwashing people...

Ya she never apologized last night, she was laughing about his sexuality. I didnt mind her as much as i did this year but now i hate her again.
 
Was reading the paper today, it might not be true but it said that Louis thinks Danyl is a vile bully cos he said Kandy Rain have no chance of winning and made them cry, if this is true then he is such an asshole, i dont like him anyways.

Apparently Louis will be on The X Factor tonight, if he does its gonna be extremely hard for him.

Cant wait for Alexandras performance of Bad Boys, i love it.

so it was hardly like she'd 'outed' him on the X Factor.

I thought she was trying to say that if you're out and proud why would you change the gender reference in that song, just be true to yourself. Then again I suppose that if you're bisexual that song could be tackled from either angle.

Everyone knows Dannii's not homophobic, you only have to check out her wikipedia page to see that she's performed multiple times at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and G-A-Y. Granted she should have commented on his vocal performance as to the actual lyrics but still is it really that big a deal? :confused:

Louis is going to be on The X Factor? I would hope so.

I don't care what Danyl does. I am going to skip his performances from now on - go and make a cup of tea or something.

I can't wait for her to perform it either. I love it too!
 
Alexandra was brilliant. There's a lot of shit going around that she mimed but she didn't.

Rikki, is quickly becoming my favourite after listening to his performance over and over again.

Stacey was still brilliant though, and i love her personality.

If Rikki doesn't win I'm going to spend a lot of time in Glasgow trying to find him! LOL
 
Alexandra was indeed brilliant.

I enjoy Rikki's performances and his singing, but I truly don't believe he'll win the show.
 
Kandy Rain were the right act to go, they arent a likeable bunch.

Alexandra was brilliant.

Poor Louis i hope hes gonna be ok. Stephens death has upset me the most of any celebrity because he was Irish and hes left behind a beautiful husband.

SINGING legend Whitney Houston has backed Rachel Adedeji to win X Factor.

The 46-year-old diva was blown away by Rachel’s show-stopping performance of Beyoncé’s If I Were A Boy – calling her “amazing”.

And despite Rachel being in the bottom two last week, she received a massive confidence booster as both Whitney and Alexandra told her she could go all the way.

The 11 acts all met Whitney for a one-on-one tutorial late on Friday night.

And excitable Rachel, 18, was so overwhelmed she fell to the floor in amazement.

Our source on the show said: “All the contestants were terrified of meeting Whitney, especially Rachel and Lucie Jones.

“But she was so humble they soon lost their nerves.

“Whitney was impressed by Rachel more than anyone. She reminded her of herself at that age.

“She may have been close to getting the boot last week but having Whitney praise her this week was the best thing that could have happened to her.”

London student Rachel also told us last year’s winner Alexandra had been on hand to give her advice.

Rachel said: “I met Alex at boot camp last year and we stayed good mates. I feel so privileged to know her and to know she’s behind me.

“It’s great that if I have a problem I can ask her and she will be able to give me advice because she’s been through it all.

“I think she is amazing, I absolutely love her.

“She is now one of our biggest stars so it’s great knowing she is backing me all the way.”

Meanwhile, Danyl Johnson’s pal Holly Carter defended the bookies’ favourite after the judges branded him “arrogant” and “unlikeable”.

Holly, who met Danyl, 27, at a performing arts theatre in Reading, Berks, said: “Danyl is the nicest guy you could ever meet. He’s not arrogant at all, he’d do anything for anyone.”

Stacey, Rikki and Joe were better.

Jamie was the best he has ever been this week. But he's not THAT good.
