My roommate has decided that I should have a theme birthday party. It's not until June 30 (the day of our local Pride). Anyone have a good idea for a theme? It has to be kid-friendly.

Animal themed? You could have face painting and everyone has to dress up as an animal of their choice.

Literary Characters. It's universal, as the kids can go as their favorite characters from their books, and the adults can do likewise. Or... Harry Potter theme!!!! You can find a crapload of little trinkets and stuff really cheaply, especially with the new movie due out soon and the impending release of the book

Dress up as something beginning with the first letter of your name , for example your simon , that means you have to dress up as something begining with the letter "S".

i went to a hollywood-themed party once, we all had to dress up as stars and the person bought like 30 of those carboard standup stars to put all around the room and had a red carpet leading inside haha, it was pretty fun
