So, I get a call tonight that one of my friends is in town for a little while.

And he tells me some shocking news:

He has purchased a Nintendo Wii.

Well, needless to say...I need to buy one now.

*Although, on a much more depressing side note, a neighbour from what I can only assume is below me came up to complain about "the noise"...Which left me and my friend confused as we were playing a golf game and hardly moving. Not to mention this fellow was rather crass. And, if he is the fellow below me, he's louder than I am...Opening his balcony doors at odd hours (which I can hear all to loudly) as well as blaring his surround sound whenever he uses it.

Oh well, we've decided to call him Dinsdale.

I hope you're enjoying the Wii!! :D
I've had the chance to play on one, and I was impressed with it!
Found it really fun! ..|

I hate it when peopel talk about gizmos i've never heard of before.

Even at my advanced age(over 50) the Wii has caught my attention. I am thinking that it will be my Christmas present for myself. The nunchuck controller is interesting. I am not sure if I could manage it and no one in my Podonk Mountain town has a game set up to try so the next time I hit a Best Buy or Circuit City I will try one out and if I like it thats my gift to myself. Remember this is from a guy whose last game system was the "Mattel-a-vision" that was around for about two months in the 70's.

Wii-tarded

Well, I laughed.

Just don't get too enthusiastic, since Wii have a problem. ;)

Chances are you won't break the Wii (or Wiimote), but watch out for the TV!

Man, those people must really be swinging! The Wii may be cheaper than the PS3, but be careful, you may end up paying more in the long run when you need to buy a new TV!

Well i have to totally agree with you on this one. I have never heard of anything they are talking about and or seen one. It is a whole new universe they are talking about and an whole new culture and a whole new language.

I mean we have Pacman here at JUB - i go and try and play it - same results every time, everyone get chewed up and i get 70 pts. Not a point more or less. I cannot figure out how the damn thing works and all i see is all that flesh being gobbled up by that greedy and seedly looking person.

I really do not feel it is all the generational gap, but it could be. It is just the thought of sitting in front of another quasi internet screen just does not appeal to me. And these things that are eating and crushing other things and persons and red liquid is flowing every where = and their faces, look like they do not have one kind thought in them. It is creepy, if you ask me.

But no one asks a local village idiot anything these days. we are always left behind in everything, even jub soap operas. it is days like this that i feel like pulling up stakes and moving somewhere else - like maybe a small village in England - i think that is where i really belong.

eM.:(

I don't even own a cell phone, and my sister loaned me hers over the weekend. I didn't even know how to turn it on. When I tried to dial, I think I may ended up dialing a number in Norway. I finally gave up and used my regular phone.

I only just found out what an Ipod is and that's what I want for Christmas. If I don't get one, I'll buy one for myself. I'm always downloading music and it would be nice to be able to listen to music anytime, anywhere I want to.

As much as I respect and love the Wii, it willr emain forbidden fruit for me.
