The last time I got stopped by a cop was because my inspection stickers were peeling off the window.

Evidently that is a sign of stolen stickers.

He just suggested I return to the inspection place and have them fixed.

That was the 2nd time I was pulled over.

The first was because I hadn't put my lights on and it was night. I just got a citation.

I once got stopped for making an allowed right turn at a red light without coming to complete stop first. At 3:00 in the morning. No other traffic in sight. Across from a donut shop. Where a cop car was parked. With 2 cops in it. One being rookie in training. It was also my birthday. The older cop had the rookie give me a birthday present.

My last? was a total farce! I got ticketed for turning right on red, where the sign hung over the lane to turn left! You had to angle right before making the turn, making the sign completely out of sight. I was weak, and paid the ticket online, then two weeks later went back to same intersection and discovered the sign had been removed! #-o

Last time I got pulled over was last June. 'Failure to signal lane change.' Which it seems NOBODY in Colorado does anyway. I think the cop was just bored. I got a warning.

Last actual ticket was 15 years ago, I thought I was ok (I'd spent the night at a friends and DID NOT DRIVE), got up the next morning and wrecked the car avoiding a stupid deer. Still blew a .12, but by the time they got me to the jail I was already down to a .08 so all I got was an impaired. So much for doing the right thing. :grrr:

I got pulled over in college for a failure to stop...I fought it and won...it was a trap. The next day the City of Boulder changed the stop sign to a yield, just like every other corner in town (it still is a yield some 25 years later :D)

Speeding ticket in Canada several years ago...I don't count that because I was trying to get the HELL out of Ontario because I was on the WORST road trip of my life. And 100 kmph on a highway? Pfft. Ain't gonna happen.

Second was last year around 1 in the morning with some cop telling me a front headlight was out...he was bored. ;) Just got a warning.

Usually you can go as fast as 120km/h on the 400 series highways without getting pulled over, it's known as the unofficial speed limit. I don't know what's not gonna happen about a 100km/h speed limit, it's faster than most speed limits in the U.S.

A lot of Interstates in the Western US have a speed limit now of 75 MPH/120 KPH, which means 85-90 MPH is pretty common. And isn't Montana still simply 'Reasonable and Prudent' during daylight hours or did this get changed?

Port Charlotte FL back in late March 208. Going 42 in a 25 - one of these really shouldnt be 25 zones. Anyway, he gave me a warning on that but cited me a $72 fine for lack of seatbelt. I considered myself lucky. Not reported to insurance!

I've never been pulled over, and I've never gotten a ticket, but I have been in three accidents, one of which was in the driveway of my parents' house.

The first accident happened because someone illegally passed me on a two-lane street and forced me into a garbage truck that was parked halfway in the shoulder and halfway in the lane.

The second happened in the driveway of McDonald's. I was coming to a sto, making a point to do so gradually (I had just gotten my license, and my instructor always chastised me for stopping too quickly.) My mother thought that I wasn't braking at all, so she started screaming, "STOP!!! STOP!!!" This made me panic, and I switched pedals, thinking that I must have been stepping on the wrong one. I quickly rammed into the car in front of us, which just happened to be brand new. I had to pay for the repairs out of my pocket. :(

The third time, I was backing out of a parking space in my parents' driveway, unaware that my brother had put power steering fluid in the brake fluid reservoir. I was unable to brake, and I ended up backing into my dad's almost brand-new truck.

I don't drive much any more. Driving to and from Michigan was hell.

I've been pulled over and ticketed more times than I can count.

But I have a wicked tongue and can talk my way out of most situations.

The only one I wasn't able to talk my way out of was 164 in a 55. Cop comes up and asks "are you OK?" -Yeah- "Anyone dying?" -LOL, no- "THEN WTF ARE YOU DOING?"

Luckily, he didn't arrest me. Judge wasn't too happy either.

** walks in looks around, acts like he wasnt a cop for 21 years...

**wonders out.....quietly.

So ya - i've never gotten a parking/walking/driving/anything ticket until today.

I was pulled over/ticketed for the first time for making an illegal left turn. Now i'm usually good at spotting signs / cops and whatnot, but my ass got caught today. Freakin' NJ cops have nothing to do...

So now i'm wondering -
How many times have you guys been pulled over if any?
and/or...
The reasoning behind the last time you were stopped?

Spill it

- BJ

Have you forgotten about that time we were caught doing it in the car on the parking lot? Now THAT was the first ticket you've gotten.:p

I've been pulled over a few times, but the funny thing is I still don't have a ticket. I don't know if it's DWB or what, but Cops always seem to pull me over for stupid shit.

Once, I got stopped for going 50 in a 45 @ 3:00am! The cop obviously had nothing to do, I ended up fighting it and not having it stick.

Been pulled over twice for "rolling" past stop signs, warnings both times.

Once I had just gotten gas and forgot to have my lights on for 2 minutes or so. I flipped them on, and the police followed and stopped me 10 minutes after that and wanted to know "Is this your car?" "Sure you don't have any alcohol or narcotics or weapons in the car with you?"

Once for loud music...it wasn't even loud. My windows were down so you could obviously hear my stereo. The cop had been next to me at a red light so, of course he heard it. But it was a Saturday night down town, you could hear everyone's music.

I think that's it...I am still surprised I don't have one ticket after all that stopping.

good times indeed but -- miss those days? do i not give you enough sexytime?! #-o

Well, you HAVE been kinda MIA lately...i'm feeling the withdrawal effects already!:help:
Now, come over here and comfort me.

Been pulled over because the cops were bored ... that's happened twice, usually at night.

Only time I was ever stopped for anything "serious" was that my left brake light was out - at 1 in the afternoon. Gave me a fix it ticket, which won't appear on the record iirc...
