My first blog entry.
I've been a part of JUB for some time just haven't started my gallery or created my blog... no real reason, just a bit of a procrastinator.
A wintery weekend spent indoors is changing all of that.
I just got the first "Floetry" cd (Floetic). I had heard a few cuts when they were first released, and I knew I was a fan after seeing them on various tv programs.
Well I definitely was not prepared for what I heard!! The album is da bomb!!! The vocalist has one of the most unique voices I've heard in quite some time. Powerful, yet pretty. The rhymes are captivating too, I must admit there's a sensuality that comes through. Now I'm definitely gay (hence this blog on this particular site)
but there is something very sexy about this music. At last I've found some new tunes to add to my
'Ultimate sex music tape' (I won't go into it all now but some of the artists/songs are:
Marvin Gaye "You Sure Love to Ball", "If I should Die tonight" & others;
Prince;
Almost anything by Sade.
Well that's about it for the first one. I like to keep 'em short & sweet. Leave 'em wanting more (so to speak). Down the road, after I've had a chance to live with this cd and really digest it I might write more about it (a "proper" review), or I may continue my top ten sex music list, or whatever crosses my mind.
we'll see
peace
