I have been thinking about starting to escort to bring in some extra cash to pay back loans, debt etc. I have a steady job, but it's not getting the job done...

Anyone have any experience or advice with this?

I'm 23 average build, but good looking. I'm not cut- more of a 'guy next door' look. Is there a market for that type?

Any advice would be appreciated...
 
There is a market, yes, no question about it. I'm afraid I cannot offer any specific advice beyond "be careful."

I'm thinking there probably MIGHT be a demand for "guy next door" looking guys, but the demand will be less than it will be for hotties. Also, given the state of the economy, a lot more guys are willing to "make the leap" into the adult industry to make ends meet...and people who might hire an escort might be less likely to. As such, it's almost certainly a "buyer's market" right about now.

I'll let others who know more about it take it from there.

Trust me you wont have any problems finding guys that will hire you. Its a big market out there but depending on your city there should be many horny guys out there trying to live out their fantasy.

Only thing is always be safe, be smart, and be courteous. There are going to be a lot of different things that you will probably be doing, it wont just be sex, some people aren't even into that. Use you instincts when you don't feel comfortable. Also be able to perform if not politely tell them that you aren't the right person for them. The biggest thing is be humble this is how people are going to call you for seconds and give you good reviews.

I've got a couple of friends that have escorted. They made good money -- but they said it was not easy work. They also said they got some fantastic trips and great perks. Both had the "twink" boy next door look. It was fortunate that both liked older guys so it wasn't a "job" for them to fantasize. But older guys usually have disposable incomes and are looking for companionship.

The first question that comes up: are you a top or bottom? My one friend said that because he had a fairly large penis, he marketed himself as a top and guys wanted to pay to have him fuck them. But he is pretty much a bottom! lol!

Are you going to go all the way with guys -- orally.

Are you prepared for consequences -- if you use condoms you should be pretty safe from HIV/AIDS, however, there are other STD's that can be had and may affect your life: herpes, genital warts, syphillis, chlamydia, gonnherea....oral or coming into contact can lead to these (if the guy eats your ass with herpes break out he can transmit to your anal area).

You should also have a contact -- call it what you will. Don't go anywhere without letting someone know. There are people out there that can or want to hurt others; you don't want to be one of them.

Are you going to escort out to events and charge more for "extras" or just stick to events on the arm? Are you going to fulfill fantasies of guys -- they can be really strange (from what I have heard and been told). Are you going to stay overnight with them?

It's not going to be an easy job unless you have a natural attraction to older, often out of shape men, or you are really good at acting. You might be able to get away with charging 200-250 an hour. There's a lot of competition these days. Most clients will probably be decent, but remember, they can be demanding, they might think since they're paying you they own you.

A possible recommendation might be to start with erotic massage, that way you can ease into light sexual stuff you might be comfortable with, and if you're really not into the guy, you can just give him a handjob.
