Third Wheel

Fantastic Story , you should write more,
You are an Author for sure!

Many Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the support. I had some health issues that took me away from writing, and some positive learning that lessened the inside need for the story. I hope to get back to this story and i've also started another one. But no more posts until after the holidays. I wish every one a healthy and happy time and i hope you all connect with the people that matter to you.

Sorry to hear about the health problems, p1044nsf. I hope all is well for you now. I am pleased that you will be continuing Third Wheel and look forward to reading your other story. I wish you, also, a very happy and safe holiday. I hope 2010 will fulfill the hopes and desires of all, bringing us health, happiness and prosperity.

Sorry about the long delay. But here's some more of the story.

Cheryl and Doug returned just a little bit later. Jim and I had shucked the corn and gotten the water up to boil, when they came upon us.

“Hey, I thought you were waiting for us to make dinner together,” Cheryl called out to me. The she spotted Jim. “Oh, hi there, I didn’t see you at first. Hey Doug, look whose here—the shower guy from this morning.”

Doug came up and shook Jim’s hand, while giving me an evil smile. “Jim, was it? I’m Doug, and that’s Cheryl”.

I was impressed by how Doug remembered and also quickly included everybody and was able to put them at their ease.

“So, I see you guys have started on dinner. What are we having aside from corn?”

I looked at Doug and Cheryl a bit sheepishly and told them I didn’t really know, and then I asked if we had enough for Jim to stay with us. And as soon as I did I realized the faux pas I had made—putting everyone on the spot.

Both Jim and Cheryl starting talking at once, Cheryl saying of course there was enough, and Jim saying that he really couldn’t stay. Doug tried a bit of humor and said “Well, why don’t we just meet at the shower?”

I blushed a deep red, and Doug somehow noticed my embarrassment, and said, “Look Jim, you’re here and you’ve already helped with the corn, why don’t you stay—we really do have enough food and we would really like you stay.

Jim looked at me and then Doug and Cheryl, and said “Okay, you’ve twisted that arm. I would be delighted.”

That settled, Cheryl and Doug once again took charge giving us directions to we could all pitch in and get dinner ready and the table set. It was kind of nice sitting at the picnic table this time with Doug and Cheryl on one side and Jim with me, instead of my being alone.

Jim took the lead in the discussion, asking how we wound up at this park, and this spot, and about our trip so far. Then he caught us off guard, asking “Cheryl, don’t you mind sleeping with two guys in the same tent with you?”

I was surprised by the question and also how he phrased it. I guess I was still thinking like the third wheel, and that Doug and Cheryl should have been together, with me in the other tent, and not Cheryl in the other tent. Though I admit the thought of me and Doug sharing was kind of nice.

“Uh, how do you know I am sharing the tent with them both?”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it, but there are three of you and I took the dishes from a tent with no sleeping arrangements. But never mind. The corn is great—did you get it from the general store in the park, or at a nearby farm stand?”

“There’s no need to change the subject. I was surprised, but I’m not embarrassed. You saw us together this morning waiting for Steven. He and Doug had planned this trip. I had hoped to make a trip with Doug before school started and so Doug suggested we all go together.”

Doug then chimed in. “That doesn’t fully answer his question, Cheryl. If you and Steve don’t mind, I’ll fill in.”

We both nodded okay, and Doug continued “I asked Steve how he would feel if Cheryl joined us on this camping trip. He didn’t want to be in the way of me and Cheryl, and we didn’t want him to feel like the third wheel, so Cheryl and I thought this way no one would be left out. And as you saw this morning, Steve isn’t too modest”

I jumped on this one—“Now hold on, I…”

“I’m just teasing, Steve. I know we sort of forced you into it by taking your clothes this morning. But you sure stuck by it in front of Jim, and Barbara and Sal. Hey, I’m surprised they haven’t come by, I thought for sure they would, given the way they were staring at you, Steve, and your walking stick!”

I of course blushed again—it seems to be happening all the time on this trip, and I told them “well, they came by earlier. Jim saw them just as they were leaving.”

Doug gave a wink to Cheryl and said “Tell all, Steve, tell all.”

“Well, uh, they really didn’t stay very long. They came and said hello, and stuff, and, well, they gave me their campsite number if I wanted to stop by later.”

“Hey that’s great, you can go after dinner.”

“Yeah, uh, but Jim’s here and that would be rude, and I think maybe tomorrow we could all go see Barbara and Sal.”

“Sure, sure, forgive me Jim, I didn’t mean to send anyone packing. I was just teasing lucky Doug for having two girls after him.”

At this Cheryl gave Doug a light punch in the arm.

“Hey, what was that for?”

“I’m not enough—you want two girlfriends?”
“Cheryl, I was just..”

“I’m just teasing Doug, don’t worry.”

This was probably the first time I had seen Doug lose his cool. He actually looked a bit flustered by Cheryl’s teasing. It made me wonder if maybe there wasn’t more to it than that.

We finished the meal and everyone pitched in to cleanup so it went really fast. Jim stood up and said he would be heading back to his site, and I offered to walk him part way, and off we went. I wanted to give Doug and Cheryl a little more space just in case it wasn’t just gentle teasing. And I was hoping to get to know Jim a little better—he seemed like a really cool guy.

When we were out of earshot, the first thing Jim said was “You said Doug gave you a blow job?”

“Yup”

“And the three of you are sharing the tent? You’re more advanced than you let on—quite a ménage a trois you have going.”

“I’m not advanced, and what’s a menagetwa?”

“It’s a threesome. Menage a trois. Trois is French for three. So the three of you haven’t done anything? Where was Cheryl when Doug was blowing you—and does she even know?”

“Well, it’s not really like it seems. I only fooled around with Doug a few times, just before this trip. He and Cheryl are really tight and he told her about it. And they agreed we would do everything together this trip. I got my first blowjob this trip and it was my first time with a girl, so I wouldn’t exactly say that’s advanced.” I was pretty angry by this point, I’m not sure why, and this all came out in a rush.

“Whoa, Charley. I’m not ‘accusing’, just asking. I was hoping we would be friends. I felt a spark at the shower and again at the campsite, I thought you felt it too.”

“I did, but I think this all a bit fast for me. I need to digest some of this. Where do you live? Is there any way we can stay in touch when the camping is over?”

“Sure, I’d like that. And maybe that’s for the better.”

We had stopped at this point and were just talking. And I was glad to hear that he lived close by in the town next to mine. Jim suggested we walk to his campsite so we could get a pen and exchange numbers. After we did that I felt it was time to go. We stood looking at each other and then I just said bye, and turned to leave.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around, and Jim was there and leaned in towards me, and I stood, hoping he would continue and kiss me. I think he got that vibe because he did, and I responded, and then he wrapped his arms around me and said “call me when you get back, I’m going to leave it to you make the first call.”

I told him I would and headed back to Doug and Cheryl.

When I got back to our site Cheryl and Doug were sitting next to each other, holding hands, in front of the campfire. That sight confirmed for me what I had been mulling over on the way back.

I wanted a connection like that, and I didn’t think it that was possible with more than one person. Even though Doug and Cheryl included me in everything, it was just that—them including me, not the three of us as one unit.

And when Barbara and Sal came by, it was between me and Sal, even though Barbara made it happen. And I felt something with Jim, but we never had the time to fully explore it.

I was sitting there with Doug and Cheryl by the fire, just brooding. And Doug suggested a nighttime swim. I wasn’t too keen on this but the two of them convinced me and I started heading to the tent.

“Hey, what’re you doing? The lake is this way,” asked Doug.

“I’m just getting my swimsuit. Do you already have yours on?”

“Nah, we’re going skinny. Come on, let’s go.”

At this point I didn’t care about it and just shrugged and went along. We got to the shore and they both started getting undressed. And even though I didn’t want to, I couldn’t help but look at them.

I quickly got undressed and I guess Doug and Cheryl were looking at me, too. Because Cheryl said “Hey, Steve’s got his walking stick with him. How are you going to use that in the lake?”

Doug laughed and said “I don’t think it would make a good oar or paddle, maybe a keel or centerboard, so he doesn’t tip over.”

“Or maybe he’ll use it for steering.”

I ignored them and ran into the lake, but I was laughing about it anyway.

Doug swam after me and then under me and came up in front of me and started splashing and gurgling.

“I’m drowning, throw me a line.”

And then he sunk below the surface and grabbed my walking stick, and rose back to the surface and said “thanks for saving me buddy.”

Cheryl caught up with us and wanted to know what all the fuss was. Doug said “Oh, nothing. Just that Steve’s walking stick can also be used for rescues.”

“It seems very versatile. What else can it be used for?”

“Let’s go back to the tent and find out.”

And then Doug started swimming to shore, followed by Cheryl. I stayed put until Doug called out to me, and it just seemed easier to go along than to have to explain how I felt—which I wasn’t sure of anyway. Besides, I was getting a bit cold and tired in the lake and I knew things would heat up in the tent. So, I decided to follow Doug and just go with the flow.

When we got back to the tent I was shivering and covered in goose bumps. Cheryl said “remember how our moms would take a cold hand between her two hands and rub to get it warm? Why don’t we put Steve between us and rub?”

Doug was game for this, and again I went along. At first, I was facing Doug and Cheryl was behind me. I was definitely warming up, and really enjoying rubbing up against Doug like that. He leaned in and started kissing, which really shocked me but was also a bit electric—I knew I still had a thing for Doug. Then Cheryl spoke up.

“I think Steve’s got the wrong end facing me. I think we need to warm up his walking stick.”

Doug pushed my shoulder, guiding me to turn over and face Cheryl. I was reluctant to let go of Doug. He then reached around and guided me inside of Cheryl. I remembered the excitement of it this morning, the first time for me. But now it didn’t quite feel right—I mean, it was a great physical sensation, but I didn’t know if I should be doing this.

And then I feel Doug’s boner pushing into and sliding up between my cheeks, and with each push into me I pushed into Cheryl. Doug was nuzzling my neck, but holding Cheryl, his arms over me, humping from behind, like a dog might do. But somehow I found it thrilling and started pushing back into him which had the effect of me pumping rapidly in and out of Cheryl. It wasn’t long before I gave a final shove and came inside Cheryl, followed by a few more thrusts from Doug and then I felt him squirting all over my back, and since he was hugging Cheryl, with me in the middle it was spreading all over me and Doug.

I honestly don’t know if Cheryl enjoyed herself. I was pretty beat from all the emotions of the day and fell asleep just like that, between them, Doug nuzzled into my neck.

When I awoke it was still dark and I had to pee. I knew if a moved I would wake everyone up since we were all wrapped around each other, but I had no choice. I started to get up and could feel my skin peeling off of Doug where we stuck together.

When I climbed back into the tent, I found that Doug was now spooning Cheryl and I slept on the end, not touching anyone, looking at the tent ceiling and thinking about the all of this and what would happen tomorrow.

While I was disappointed about some things, like not being alone with Doug, all-in-all I can’t say I didn’t have fun with Doug and Cheryl—both in and out of bed. I was debating whether to go visit Sal the next day.

Hey, P1044NSF,
Long time, no hear!
I hope things are straightened out and better for you than they sounded like they were for a time.

In between family obligations, I just re-read the whole story to get fully back into it. It's worth the second read!

I enjoyed this most recent installment. Our "Third Wheel" seems to be culling attention from a couple of sources, in addition to his Best Friend and his GF trying to make sure he is fully involved with them. I think I'd be sporting wood the whole time, too, now that I think about it, lol.

It's great to hear from you, again. Here's hoping it's not quite so long the next time!

short addition, more soon. thanks.

After laying there staring at the ceiling, I must have eventually drifted back to sleep, because I awoke to the smell of burnt toast and realized I was alone in the tent.

I needed to pee again, but of course had a morning boner. And I was getting a little tired of all the jokes at my expense. I knew they were all friendly, but it still bothered me a bit. So I lay for awhile waiting for it to go done. I certainly didn’t want to do anything about more direct, partly because I was hoping for a fun day, and also because I didn’t want anyone coming into the tent while I was in the middle. Maybe they wouldn’t be embarrassed at being caught jerking off, but I sure would.

Eventually I was able to climb out of the tent. And I was glad I had waiting because Cheryl and Doug both turned to look at me and Doug said “Drat, I lose.” And Cheryl pumped her arm and said “I’ll think about what you owe me later.” And of course I walked right into it by asking what was going on.

“Oh, nothing” said Doug. “Just a little bet between us. I said you would come out of the tent with your walking stick and Cheryl said you wouldn’t.”
At this I got kind of mad and said “can’t you guys give it a rest for a minute?” And I walked off to take that pee.

When I got back Doug and Cheryl were sitting at the picnic table, waiting for me so we could have breakfast together. I sat down and we started passing around the food and no one said anything. The silence was uncomfortable and though I was angry, I knew they were great friends so I started to speak. And just as I did, so did Cheryl and Doug.

We laughed it little at all of speaking at once. And then I said “I’m sorry…” and before I could continue Doug said “No, no, don’t be sorry. Cheryl and I were teasing you and thought you liked it. We certainly didn’t mean any harm by it. And besides, you have to admit, your walking stick has been very present this trip.”

The last part was said with Doug’s classic warm and inclusive smile that always diffused everything. And he was right, I seemed to have a none-stop boner, despite—or maybe because of—all the activity. And I guess I wasn’t really complaining. But sometimes I felt like everyone was picking on me.

And then I realized how nice Doug and Cheryl have been, and always solicitous and inclusive—the opposite of how I was feeling. And I thought of Sal, and her embarrassment with Barbara. And I realized that sometimes when friends are trying to help out they can sometimes be embarrassing or painful.

“Earth to Steve,” I suddenly heard Doug say. And I looked up and Cheryl and Doug who both looking at me. I said “I’m okay, just lost in thought a little—it’s been a busy time. You’ve both been great and I appreciate. And you’re partly responsible for my walking stick, you know.”

Cheryl responded “You’re right, we are. And we had hoped you would enjoy it. We didn’t want you doing anything you weren’t comfortable with.”

Doug stood up and said, “Alright, now that we are all friends again, can we clean up and start the day?”

Cheryl was going to say something—I think because she wanted me to have a chance to respond, and I said “yeah, let’s get started.”

So we gathered up all the dishes and pots and took them down the river for a quick rinse. Doug splashed me while cleaning, and when I looked at him he had that twinkle in his eye telling me it was accidently-on-purpose. I looked down and continued cleaning, and then accidently splashed Doug. Doug didn’t wait long to retaliate and before you know it a full-fledged splashing fight was taking place. Cheryl called out to see what the fuss was and then joined in and before you know it we were all in the river splashing and dunking.

When it was finally over we climbed out of the river and brought the dishes back to camp. Doug and I hung a rope up between two trees and we all got undressed and hung our clothes out to dry. Cheryl started walking to the tent and Doug said “where are you going?”
“Where do you think?” Cheryl answered.
Doug replied “There’s no need for clothes just yet, let’s just hang like this.”
“No thanks” said Cheryl. “I want some clothes. I know if hang with you guys like this Steve is going to bring his walking stick. Oh, sorry Steve. Please forgive me”
Before I could reply and tell Cheryl it was fine, Doug said “Too late.”
And Cheryl looked over to see that yes I had another boner and another red face. But I had just been staring at Doug as he bent over to pick up his clothes and then reached up to put them on the line. I sure liked looking at him.
Cheryl then suggest we all going into the tent and help me out. But I suggested instead that we all go for a walk. Cheryl wanted to stay at the camp site and Doug offered to walk with me to see Barbara and Sal. I was half glad and half sorry. This whole trip was one of mixed emotions. I was thrilled to have some time alone with Doug, and wanted him to meet Barbara and Sal—especially Sal. But I also wanted to do some of this on mine own.
Anyway, Doug and I walked along and Doug asked about Barbara and Sal. I told him what little I knew—they were college students, Barbara more brazen, Sal was shyer. Barbara seemed to look out for Sal, which I thought was really nice. And Doug said “like I look out for you!” This surprised me a bit, but I guess in part it was true. He was the more adventurous of us and was always ready to bring me long but watch out for me at the same time. I left out the physical exploration part of yesterday’s meeting with Barbara and Sal and we kept walking along and were soon at their camp site.
They were both sitting in chairs, reading. I found out later they were actually studying. Barbara jumped up when she saw us and said hello and offered us something to drink. Doug actually asked for a beer, which surprised me and Barbara teased him about being of age and then said sorry, all we have is soda..
Doug had some and then stood up and said “whoa, strong stuff. It went right to my head. But don’t try and take advantage of me.” And Barbara replied “what makes you think we would want to do that.”
Doug said “well, you were pretty keen on Steve yesterday, and I’m clearly the better specimen. “ When he said ‘specimen’ I was wondering if somehow he knew what happened yesterday. If maybe he and Cheryl had seen it.
Barbara then turned to Sal, “what do you think? Maybe before you decide we should ask Doug to show us his walking stick like Steve did so it will be a fare comparison.”
Sal replied “I don’t know if that’s quite why they came to visit, Barbara, and in any case I think that should be up to Doug, not me.”
Doug said, “Well, we caused Steve some embarrassment yesterday and I am sorry about that. To make things a little more square, especially since Barbara is asking. I will give you a fair comparison, but then I’m heading back to our campsite where Cheryl is waiting.”
And with that Doug proceeded to get undressed. I don’t know if he was embarrassed by this but I was yet again beet red. And I kept looking from Sal to Doug and back to Sal. Sal was embarrassed by too, and I think was trying, with her eyes, to make it all right with Doug, and with me, while at the same time looking hard at Doug’s physique—I can’t say I blamed her. I was looking too.
Once Doug was fully undressed he did a quick pirouette and then said, “so, if that is all, I’m going to dress and leave you three here.” He had pulled on his shorts before I could say that he hadn’t shown his walking stick, and I thought it better to let it drop anyway. Steve then headed back to camp.
Barbara made a comment about Doug being quite a character and Sal said she thought that was both brave and honorable of him. Barbara looked at her funny and then looked at me. She shrugged and said, “Well if you two don’t mind, I’m going up to take a hike to the campgrounds’ general store and get some supplies. Any special requests?”
We both said no and off she went, leaving me alone with Sal.

Dear P1044NSF,
A nice installment.

Doug & Cheryl are doing their damndest to try and make Steve feel comfortable and totally included.

It's got to be tough all around.

Then off for a walk to "set things square" AND hook Steve Up with our shy lassie.

Thanks for the installment.
Looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
