This is more fore the guys who like sports

If I liked a guy enough, I'd even let him watch football in the house.

Yea I did word this kind of bad didn't I. :(

Okay let me try and rephrase this. I know everyone has differen't taste in sports and what they enjoy doing. Now I know for some people, dating someone that has no intrest in sports can be a turn off. What I'm asking is would dating a guy who plays a professional sport that you know little off be a turn on in some way or turn you off? Maybe thats better?

Not at all man......
dating is just that man.... dating, getting the opportunity to know someone else over a period of time.
Hell, it took me a few years to like football and pro basketball, nothing says you wont develop an interest there too.... and could be that the guy you date for a while might find your sport interesting. Thing is man, you've got to figure out if you want to date (you know, like boys and girls do).... Trouble is lot's of gay guys don't want to go through that dating thing, they want to have sex the bat. I know man, I plead guilty to that too.
Anyone that finds you interesting friend, will do so because of your personality, charm, and how you treat them. Anyone that doesn't take the time to know you based on your interest in football or soccer would probably be someone you should consider for a boyfriend. Unless you just want a few nights of sex, that is your call dude.

it's not a dealbreaker for me, it's more of a plus! i enjoy watching professional sports and i LOVE to play volleyball. and if the guy has a similar interest, like in your case, paintball, it's still fun physical activity. that would be cool.

i'm currently dating a guy who is not into sports, but i like him anyway :D

Everybody has their own interests. It should not be a deal breaker if the two like each other enough, there is chemistry & there are at least some likes in common.

Not to be crude, but at heart the question sounds a little shallow?

I wouldn't think anything bad that's for sure. I'd prefer if you knew the basic rules of football and stuff but if u don't there is plenty of time to turn u into a L'Pool supporter. LOL

I'd sense some compromise was in order. I do a few things with the b/f that I'm not crazy about, and he follows suit. That's just kind of the way. Your odds of finding someone with precisely the same interests as you is pretty much zero.
