Not to be negative....lol ;)

But, it's shaping up to be a total 'crap fest' because of a lot of
factors lining up at once.

1) Keith (BF) is flying home to be with his family, many of whom are
getting up there in years and frankly don't have many holidays left, and
I'm not exactly 'welcomed' up there, so he's going solo. (I understand
why he has to go, really)

2) My Mom is going down to Jamaica with some friends...so much for that.

3) My Dad passed earlier this year.

4) Somehow all my friends will be out of town this time around.

So, for the first time in like...well, EVER....I'll actually be by myself this year.

Now, don't break out the :-({|= 's or anything. I can always work and help out there... In my field, that's kind of a good thing, really.

It's just an odd thing to happen.

All a part of growing up, I suppose.

It just feels weird,

Oh Joshy... (*8*)

Because of work I had to give up my Thanksgiving several years back. It wasn't a great deal of fun. I thought that I might be able to share the holiday with some of my friends, but because it all happened so quickly our plans fell through.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't have high hopes for this year's Thanksgiving as we got corralled into going to my sister-in-laws. I'm tolerant of them, but by a very fine degree. Feh.

sorry about the day sucking for you. we do an orphan thanksgiving every year for the past 10 years. too bad you're in Florida.... we would invite you over here. but you would have to bring a dish.

As far as what I'm doing... Ehh...

I'll stop by at work and say 'Hi' to some of my residents, make sure noon time dinner
goes off without a hitch, (not bloody likely #-o )

Then go home, call Keith, call my Mom then watch the parades I'm
about to 'burn' this morning (NO balloons in Macy's ?? I hope not)

Then...well, maybe I'll order some Chinese or something. ...All the while
looking forward to the BIG 5 AM sale Friday morning at Wal-Mart.
