This is a military watch so the issue number has been obscured for reasons of operational security.

The army was still using pocket watches during WW2! Colonel Blimp must have put in a bulk order because they're a common sight on Fleabay and elsewhere. A number of reputable watch tinkers sell reconditioned General Service Trade Pattern (or "Time Piece", nobody seems sure what exactly it stands for) pocket watches at bargain prices. Not shockproof, not waterproof, not dustproof, but it's lasted about 75 years so far and keeps pretty good time. How long will those overpriced MVMTs and Daniel Wellingtons work?

Attaching pictures has become harder now that Getty and Google have tightened up their rules.

I use pictures from Wiki. Or I use the JUB "native" software to import small versions of the pictures I want to attach.
