I must agree. He is not my favorite model. Just something missing...I wish it were easy to get him a face transplant above his lips...
Maybe it is the hair. he looks like a geek.View attachment 337926...............
Sure, like that sets him apart from the average Fratman...Maybe it is the hair. he looks like a geek.
There have always been of that sort, but they were not the norm. What seems to have changed is that the site seems to be shifting (trying to shift?) the basic type from the blondish all-American Northern European descent to a more Mediterranean one.Quire honestly, I have been a bit disapointed with the recent models on Fratman.tv. Not sure what it is but they seem to look more like gooks that have a good body than frat boys with good bodies and cute faces.
I've seen the entire set and just like every other set before it, half of the pictures were headless. Why bother having models at all if this is always going to be the case? I get the body is a big part of the appeal, but the face is even moreso.
Why can't they just zoom out a little bit and include the face for every picture? or at least 90% of the pictures instead of 50? Customers can easily crop the pictures themselves if they don't like it, but it sure is difficult to add a head where there was none to begin with!.
I just don't get it.
http://lbenyell.blog.lemonde.fr/files/2009/03/courbet-origine-du-monde.1237555818.jpgI SO TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. My biggest pet peeve with complete photo sets is that invariably there are some that I'm torn over whether to keep in my collection or toss because they're pointless. Of course, I guess I shouldn't complain if I've happened to find a complete photo set for download on someone's website, but from a strictly artistic view and not a collector's view, those up close body shots are just a waste of space on your memory card, your computer and the internet.

Jeffrey.
WOW, you took the words out of my mouth.. I agree that they seem to have shifted to a different type of model. I also noticed that they have increased their recruiting efforts. Maybe there are not enough guys in teh pipeline. You would have thought that with the poor economy, guys would do anything for some money. There have always been of that sort, but they were not the norm. What seems to have changed is that the site seems to be shifting (trying to shift?) the basic type from the blondish all-American Northern European descent to a more Mediterranean one.
It's not that the older ones had more regular facial features, and were actually prettier or handsomer, but that whatever gookness they had it was softened away by the delicacy of blond[ish]ness, which is not just hair color but fairer and smoother skin.
They were also beefier as a rule, with along with the smoother skin made them actually look dollier than manlier: lately, they are not so much the bull jock type as a slender athletic, hairier one, so these later updates seem to be Fratmen's response to a change for a "manlier", "rougher" sort of fratboy... getting "edgier" from the old 1958 look to a more 1964 one
I think the older fratmen were sexy all-American boyish chunks of flesh had more "object-bodies", and looked better undressed, as if made to walk naked all day round, while the later ones are more like young men who happen to have sexy athletic bodies.
The prototype against the model: I agree with you both and prefer the prototype too![]()
