THOR the movie: First Images

That's pretty cool, even though it's not the traditional Thor helmet.

I hope it doesn't turn into something silly. Marvel has actually done alright with Spiderman and Ironman, although I can't say that I was all that impressed with the X-Men flicks. I might be that I have been reading X-Men since I was a kid and the movies tried to incorporate too much and too many characters where they just didn't belong.

Are you kidding? Not only were both Spider-Man 3 and X-men 3 a disaster, but both of those franchises completely screwed up the time line.

Peter Parker was supposed to get with Gwen Stacy first and MJ much later. Gwen Stacy's death by the Goblin is supposed to be a pivotal part of his entire character development, and sense of responsibility. And there was that stupid Emo Spiderman sequence.

In X-Men 2, they only briefly show a file on a computer named Project Wideawake, yet never developed any story on that whatsoever. In X-Men 3, they suddenly have sentinels in the Danger Room, with no set up or explanation whatsoever.

Complaining about a Comic Book Hero's Costume as being "Tacky, Lame or Campy" is really a strange irony considering these Characters are all Fictional Based Cartoon Characters.

All Hollywood movies have fictional characters in them. That doesn't mean that their costumes have to look awful on screen. What looks good on a drawn page, with a bright color palette will not look good on screen with a more natural, real-world palette.

Okay, that's the Asgard of the Stargate universe, not the Marvel Comics universe. :(

New item revelated at CC by Marvel relating to the movie:

The guy's not that hot. I wouldn't fuck him...not that attractive IMO. BAH!

Anyway, we'll see how good, or bad, this movie will turn out to be.

There is another pic floating about of a suit of armour of some sortb destroyer or something I think it's called.

From what I understand his alter ego won't be involved. Thor's alter ego is handicapped and should have been worked into the storyline, imo.

Ok I just read something that I found rather disappointing..:(

** POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT **
According to this source, the THOR Universe will be stripped of it's Magic origins
and instead use Super Advance Technology in order to make the movie more realistic
to movie goers and the Iron Man, Hulk Universe...According to the article, the premise of the Tech will be;

1. "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
That's fucking weak. What will this mean for the coming Dr. Strange movie?

Bah! I hate when they change fundamental parts of the character.

Uh-oh. Somebody is missing his gauntlet.

Dr. Don Blake only had partial use of one leg, and used a walking stick. He originally made his transformation to Thor by tapping the stick on the ground, at which time it became Mjolnir.

AWESOME Clip! (!)

Cool to see the Destroyer. I wonder whose essence is powering it.

^^ True that! ..|

The Destroyer is an empty husk that has to be powered by the spirit/essence of another being. My guess is that Loki is providing the power, trying to take out Thor while he is still trapped on Midgard (Earth).

Loki was lookin' pretty hot in that clip too.

No doubt! I was hittin' pause like crazy in the clip!
