I just posted a reply in the "My encounter with Rod" thread - then promptly deleted it....because I decided what I typed was worthy of it's own thread - which I think I will also "Sticky" (because I can - and it deserves it!)

I just wonder how many people who enjoy this forum these days are aware of the fact that it only exists because of the efforts of one person?

Way back when - our very own Autolycus suggested to the site owners that an Erotic Stories forum would be a good addition to the site.

Fortunately, they were wise enough to realise that he was right - and promptly asked if he would be prepared to moderate such a forum. Equally fortunately...he said "Yes" - and so it was born - and, of course, as we all now know - he has been doing a stirling job of nurturing, guiding and developing it ever since... :=D:

So - please join me in lauding one of the unsung heroes of JUB...

Auto - here's to you...for a fantastic, and often unrecognised, job in making the stories forum the success it is today! (*8*) :kiss: (!) ..|

YES! YES! YES! This thread has long been overdue. There are not enough words in my vocabulary to express my appreciation to Autolycus. He has not only proven to be a fair, just, considerate, thoughtful, moderator, but also has share with us his unusual excellent talent as an author.

I personally have experienced some of Autolycus efforts behind the scenes. Most of us have no idea of the time and effort he spends as a moderator of this forum. He is truly one of the unsung heroes of JUB. He is my mentor and I am proud to consider him as a friend.

My hats off to you, Autolycus. No one deserves this tribute more than you. You have not only encouraged me to be a better writer, but have taught me how to be a better person.

I agree. This thread is long overdue! Autolycus, my hat's off to you for all your hard work. This forum is one of my favorites here and I don't go a day without it!

All that you say about Autolycus is true, but I read somewhere that he is a petty thief and a snapper-up of unconsidered trifles.
 
You will be happy to know, Auto, that I have begun to pace myself now and am not posting a new chapter every day.

Really, though, you've been such a great help in a few cases, making quick edits for me when I am unable to do so, and even correcting a few minor glitches I've overlooked.

I am sorry to have missed this thread for such a long time. I must add my cheers for Auto and his work on our behalf. He has helped me through many hard times and done so much to improve my writing and my stories.

I am taking a bit of break from writing right now but am sure I will return when the time is right and I know that Auto will be there helping and guiding me on my journey as a writer and as a human being.

You didn't really miss it. It was here one day and disappeared the next. I thought it had been deleted. Auto needs to know how much we appreciate all he does for us around here.

Though I am not an author and have not submitted any stories, I certainly do appreciate the talent that is shown here on JUB.

Autolycus, not only have I enjoyed your works, I also realize that you have taken great lengths in seeing that those that do submit their stories do so in the best fashion. I have seen how you edit and correct with TLC and also the appreciation those author have for your expertise. If there was such a thing as a "Gay Edgar", I know you would be the first recipient of it...

Thanks for your hard work and for making this forum worthy of a daily check to see the new up and coming authors.

As a writer, I'm very grateful for the support you offer to us, and your dedication for this section of the forum. As much as people are happy to read what happens to characters, I'm happy to write what happens to my characters, and I'm glad there is a venue here for that.

Agree with all that has been said - love your stories. (Slap me for not Emailing or even sending a PM to you when I read them - I am sure that as so many - I just take it for granted).
AND NOT trying to HIJACK the Thread, or take any Thunder from Autolycus - BUT I PERSONALLY would like to Thank UNOPONCHO
as well for his writings, and because he has SO many times written or carried through on a request that I have sent him.

I have to say I agree that Unoponcho is an incredible inspiration as well. He has always been there for me when I needed it and given me lots of behind the scenes encouragement in my writing.

I too must add my appreciation and full-thankful...ness to Autolycus. He is the first person to usually read a new story and the first person to comment on said story. I know he was on both of mine, and Auto, you have no idea how much I appreciated that fact. With you commenting, it got the ball rolling for other's to do the same, thus, you are the catalyst that boosts many authors on here to new and previously unaware-of heights! You help us, push us on when we feel like dieing, and keep our stories alive in ways that people don't usually notice.

So, a simple 'Thank you' isn't enough for me. There are no words that can be stated to express my eternal gratitude to you, Auto. And i have a feeling this won't be the last time you'll recieve these kind of thanks.
