'cos I didn't take any holiday earlier in the year, and it supposedly messes the accounting up if you don't take the full allowance each year. Beats the hell out of me why.

Why not spend that extra day each week and take driving lessons. Once you are a qualified driver and have access to a car, you will not be a prisoner in your parent's home...unless you choose to be.

I have three day weekends every other weekend...
 
DUDE...driving is the BEST, it sets you free! There is nothin better than toolin along listening to music, it's great.

I have every Friday and Monday off, and then I work every other weekend, I don't know when I had time to work full time. I do gardening, laundry, general work around my house. AND the best is, I get to go shopping alot!
 
WK, since I know you have watched Top Gear, surely you realize the FUN that can be had with a car? I can't think of three other people who enjoy cars as much as those loons, and I only wish I could join them. Hell, I wish I didn't have to wait until somebody uploads one online every week to watch it over here.

But seriously, if you are truly afraid, start small. Have any go-kart tracks anyplace nearby? The only thing to truly fear in a car is the imbecile in the OTHER car who isn't paying attention.

Oh, and I'd KILL to have 3 day weekends. Hell I'd take TWO day weekends :grrr:.
 
I watch Top Gear for the banter. I really couldn't care less about the cars.

I do honestly appreciate that it would make my life a million times easier. But I still can't bring myself to do it.
