Ok, so what are they?

And if you select the famous Christmas Carol (you know the Dickens story) you have to say which version.

Home Alone 2 ..... makes me laugh every time I watch it.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

White Christmas with Bing Crosby

"A Christmas Carol" I watch all the versions I've collected over the years,
but my favorite is the Alastair Sim version.

"A Christmas Story" ("You'll shoot your eye out!"

"It's A Wonderful Life." "Look, daddy! Teacher says every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings" "Remember, George: no man is a failure who has friends." "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" "You see George, you've really had a wonderful life. Don't you see what a mistake it would be to just throw it away?"

A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim

The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven.

Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn and Natalie Wood.

(I'd have put Meet Me In St. Louis third because of the extended Christmas scenes, but it really isn't a Christmas film per se, though I watch it every Christamas on TCM.)

One Magic Christmas - Mary Steenburgen

I didn't know anyone else even knew about this movie let alone watched it.

My top favourites:

A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim

(tie) It's a Wonderful Life & Miracle on 34th Street (original)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (The Chuck Jones version. It's not a movie, but it's still a favourite.)

orphanboy, I love Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol too. Unfortunately the version they show on The Cartoon Network has been sliced to bits. Some of the best songs (written by Julie Stein) have been eliminated.

I've searched for a DVD on line, but it seems to have gone out of print.

I bought a copy from Amazon several years ago. I remember watching it on TV when I was a little boy. The scene where he sees his name on the tombstone still scares me.

As gsdx said, Amazon still has it. Netflix also has it available.

Here's the U.S. Amazon listing:

Christmas in Connecticut (Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sidney Greenstreet)

The Bishop's Wife (Loretta Young, Cary Grant, David Niven)

Pocketful of Miracles (Bette Davis, Glenn Ford, Ann-Margret)

White Christmas & Holiday Inn (tie for 4th)

A lot of my favorites are listed above. Here are some more

It Happened On Fifth Ave with Gail Storm, et al

Holiday Affair with Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh

I, too, like Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby. This is the movie where the song White Christmas was introduced and was also used to name the motel chain.

Nightmare before Christmas

Scrooged, not a great film but it made me laugh.

Mary Poppins, I know it's not Christmas themed but it was always shown in Cristmas in public Spanish TV, so it's one of my chilhood christmas memories.

Not a big fan of Christmas films.

One is a movie that is called something like "The Little Monster", which I haven't seen in years and uses the song "Silent Night, Holy Night". I think it was on German television.
It's A Wonderful Life is great too.
Then, of course, there's this:

Miracle on 34th Street
Scrooged
Year without a Santa Claus (technically not a movie, more of a special, but I love it)

I have a tradition of watching "A Christmas Carol" every Christmas Eve. After seeing Alastair Sim as Scrooge, I can't watch any other version. He's terrific.
Also, like "Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas". Uhoh, I can't get the song "Sisters" out of my mind now!
