We like to get some small gifts for family members and for the Sis and her man we do the donation thing in addition.

But for the neice an nephew et al, we usually throw some some money at them, because of distance, etc,

What do you give the people on your gift card/cash list for Christmas now?

Everyone I get gifts for collects something (or alot of different things which is easier) so I buy something for their collection any time of the year in my travels and I avoid shopping in any retail store except for groceries in Novemeber and December

I'm sending some spices and good vanilla to siblings. I'll bake and take to neighbors. Cards to distant friends. Probably getting Coco another dog toy, as it pisses her off, so makes us even.

I have tried to suggest that in place of gifts that rarely get used that the family donate money to such causes as cancer research, that didn't fly.

I try to remember some people who deserve something. I give cash to the trashmen. They really bust their balls everyday. We finally have a steady Mailman who is great and a handsome Hispanic UPS guy who is beyond professional.

I give him a gift card with cash and would gladly take care of his package for a change. :)

I have two Nephews and one Niece who are like my own kids. One Nephew married a NJ politicians daughter and will be coming into some Real Estate on Martha's Vineyard soon. Nothing for him except some food gifts.

I try to find out if they need or can't afford something and try to buy it for them or give them some money towards it. I'm lucky to be able to help out.
