thunder/lightning storms are absolutely amazing! Nothing more fantastic than watching them roll across the sky.

I love them. I really like watching the rain - for some reason, I try to look up at the rain as it is falling down. I love the sound of the rain and the smell of the air after a thunderstorm.

Storms are Exciting.

Although was once flying through one, not very exciting, plane got damaged and had to make emergency landing, we all survived, plane was badly damaged though.

Nothing relaxes me more than a storm, odd I guess. I love hearing the rain hit the windows while random flashes of light come through. I especially enjoy them when I'm a passenger in a car at night, and a thunderstorm starts up. Dangerous for the driver, but man it puts me right to sleep :D. Lucky me, I live in the Lightning Capital of the Nation

I will stop everything to enjoy a good storm. I especially love the long, rolling thunder that rumbles and reverberates across the sky. Nothing more soothing than a good storm when you're warm, dry and tucked in someplace cozy.

I love thunderstorms, but it's gotten really annoying how, for the past 12 years, every storm we've had has been a "severe weather warning", and there's always some notice on TV saying it's causing flash floods, or possible tornadoes in surrounding counties.

I love thunderstorms. I wanted to be a storm chaser when I was younger. Love the energy in the air, the smell of Rain hitting black top on a hot day. The feeling of being in the middle of something so powerful.

They kind of turn me on just a little.....

When I was a kid I used to be afraid of thunderstorms, to the point that I used to have trouble concentrating in school. This was early in grade school. I'm not even sure why I was afraid, but I slowly realized that there was nothing to fear.

These days I find them more soothing than anything else. Seeing the pics you guys posted above reminded me of the beauty and power of mother nature.

I love them but they have cost me a lot. Lots of appliances and electronics.
Last year in one storm, even though the TV's & PC were unplugged I still lost 2 TV's, cable box, the land line phones, a DVD, & got lucky that only the Ethernet card was blown in the desktop.
This was because the lightning came through the coax and telephone line which was still plugged into the appliances.
I'm still saving to buy a new TV for the bedroom and those surge protectors, don't trust them even the one the power company rents to the main electric feed in your house.
The house next to me a couple years ago got a blast that took out all the appliances including central AC. The house had to be rewired.
I guess it depends on how many lightning storms you get because after losing your stuff a few times they are not as fun as they used to be.
We get a lot. Had one Sunday eve and then a big bad boy Monday morning.
Other than that I love them, and hope I am at home to unplug everything including cables and phone lines

I love thunderstorms as long as they aren't too loud. I remember going down the shore when I was 9 and one night there was a storm with thunder claps that sounded like bombs going off. It was deafening and terrifying.

Otherwise, I like being home at night during thunderstorms with the lights dimmed, sitting under a blanket, rain pelleting the window as lightning streaks across the sky and the thunder gently rumbles everything around you. It's actually quite soothing.

Lightning (when it isn't frying people) is also one of nature's fascinating works of art.

they are awesome when you can watch them from somewhere safe and far far away from the danger of being struck.

I love them but I'm usually the first one to run outside lol.

i love them, but we never get them here. maybe once or twice a year. get cozy, turn out the lights and watch nature's fireworks. mmhmm!
