Everyone's got their thing but I've been wondering this for a while and especially after the release of a recent indie expose film. Having a fetish for getting or tickling others is supposedly one of the most common out there among straight and gay people alike, but I'm not sure I really get why....

I get the submissive/ dominant dynamic of it, I'm on board with all things bondage (when it's used) and laughing is always fun; especially during sex but I'm still wondering wouldn't the person getting tickled get short of breath and have difficulty breathing after a while? Or get stomach cramps from laughing so much? Maybe that's just me though since I had acute asthma until I was in HS... I heard a guy in the film who tried it said it was terrifying even though he was laughing (involuntarily); that doesn't seem that sexy to me. Plus 1/2 of the vids don't even end with a "happy ending" or anything.. at least not on camera :confused:

Never tried as a sub but had a few guys admit they wanted to get tickled as foreplay but couldn't provide anything beyond "because it's fun" when I asked why. I still did but they could see I wasn't really into tickling them.

For someone who's into it what's the appeal of this? Just curious
 
There are probably lots of things that give us pleasure or arousal for which we have no explanation. We like what we like.
 
You are just curious about why it appeals to them and not you. Nothing wrong with the question and they are the right ones to ask. Next time ask them if they ever questioned why tickling appealed to them. I know someone who loves toe sex and he has no idea why.

Can you tickle them to orgasm?
 
I've wondered about this, too. I absolutely hate being tickled. Like, even just being poked, I'll glare angrily. That said, I'm intrigued.

I'm interested in a forced exhibitionism scenario where I'm tied down and "tortured" until I agree to exhibitionistic consequences. But I have an extremely low pain threshold, so I've wondered if tickle torture would be something I'd prefer. I could imagine being tied down, tickled, and told that I'll get a five minute break for each item of clothing he cuts off....

Daedalus, interesting you say that. I don't doubt that you do but while reading descriptions of vids I saw on a few sites it said several participants "hated" being tickled. Made me wonder why they were even there.... also confused by people who hate being tickled on these sites.
 
I have an urge to tickle a cute guy, mainly his feet and sides, where they're most ticklish.
